Are there any good-competitive map/mapmaker for 3v3+ ?
I guess there is not enough serious 3v3+ players to make competitive maps for them, 'fun', relic style, 'every battle tells a story' maps would probably by more appreciated among team game players. |
Ah...a Troll.
Its not only me who say that the t70 is absolute overperforming compared to other light verhicles:

Man, that is exactly the person you shouldn't cite when talking about ballance, if you want to remain credible. It's almost like citing aaa.
Also, mind that this is not the ballance subforum. |
Got my hopes up for a second there
Well, is it really less than you expected? For me, it's much more (and much earlier), especially considering that bugfixes should be top priority and that last patch was just some skins that costed an arm and a leg to get. |
Good they decided to fix those bugs it's great, even if I can think of another bunch of them still roaming. |
They had/have to be, due to the bigger squad sizes and thus larger health pool. That's why the Ostheer mortar is still better than the Soviet one, which is also the reason why the US mortar is so ridiculously OP (as it is basically a direct copy of the Ostheer mortar with a few better stats and ridiculous veterancy bonuses).
That's the problem with asymmetric balance, you can't just compare everything directly, but you have to use some sort of context in which to compare. Direct comparisons work only between a very few specific units in the game, and even then a careful approach must be kept. And then there's of course interpretation bias (willing or unwilling), so in the end without the direct numbers that Relic has available, we can only make some more or less precise guesses in "laboratory environments, as to what would be useful to change to make the game better.
Yep, that is exactly what I'm saying. Ostheer weapons teams were still strong, just in a different way and in different circumstances than soviet ones. To some extend the assymetric ballance has been kept when you look at it from todays perspective, though it took awful amount of time to ballance the mg42 alone after this change. |
there is only one person left who's working on coh2. We will see some small balance patches and thats it.
You mean kyle or the other one person? That makes two. Presumebly we can go that way further untill we got a couple of them. In fact - we simply know nothing about relic plans. |
I believe this had more to do with Russian mortars (all variants) having precision strike and one hit nuking Ostheer weapon teams. They could of course have removed precision strike first, but no..
Also if you lost one model on a mortar or a pak40, it would mean that the next model loss would be instant death, so it came down to losing one model and then having to reinforce or lose all your vet and the unit the next hit.
Mind that in coh1 all team weapons were 3 men. And nobody complained. The only issue I can see is that precision strike, though it's worth mentioning how much more effective dps wise was every wehrmacht team weapon than soviet one. And you could reinforce them all the time with flame ht. |
In fact first time I had this "wtf relic" feeling was when they decided to give ost 4th man on team weapons, under the pressure of some guys who thought its too much of a difference between factions.
The second big time, when they decided to add USF, becouse american players whined about it.
Lastly, when the added pershing and calliOP, for same reason. |
Relic is responsible for the brits.
You'd think they would know after everyone hated them in vCoH to not break up their worst features and spread them out between OKW and UKF, but alas, here we are.
Knowing that relic aims the game for compstompers, you could guess that brits were the most wanted faction to reappear... |
Anything that is going to make that narrow meta wider is good for the game and welcome, even if that means faction imballance |
