I played 2 games now.
I dont know if it is me being rusty after break or grens cant deal with american infantry proprely now?
Also, much more frequent squad wipes (or maybe is it me after the break)
does 222 got buffed? it survived suprisingly long.
Grens never did good against rifles and now rifles also got their vet3 recived acc buff so it's pretty strightforward. Do try a sniper though, it is as much of usfs pain as it always was. Squad wipes didn't change at all.
As for people complaining about ballance: remember that until you are not in the very top of the ladder, the matchmaker will always find you as ballanced of a match as it can get - no matter how bad the ballance between factions is. You need to play some more matches to get properly placed in the ladder after the break though. |
First of all, your thread belongs to ballance section, not strategy one. Here we discuss how to use armies, no how relic can possibly change them.
Secondly, it's pretty obvious that there will be no ovehaul in ostheer faction. Simply becouse among all it is best designed, but also becouse relic doesn't seem like doing any big changes in the future. The game gets old after all.
So, from strategic perspective, you can always use ele or pak43, stug also is great, to the point where it's commonly considered OP. Pak40 and shrecked pgrens also are top notch choices. And remember about mines, mines win games.
From ballance forum perspective: you should probably make your own game, or at least a mod, if you like it that way. |
As far as legal papers go I remember agreeing to pay for the game in its initial state and agreeing that the game may change in the future. Nothing about perfect ballance or any support at all.
They do change the game only to make customer pay for dlcs and to get more players into the game, not becouse they like their community or not to "betray" it. There are no feelings there, just bussines. |

Spamming threads is never a good solution to your problems... Just saying. You have really huge area of improvement, post some replays on replay reviews forum, strategists will be more than glad to help you by pointing where you can adapt your play to get better results against brits. |

I tired from british Mortar Spam so I came here for help. My last mattch was pretty boring - 2 ostheer, 1 okw and against us there was 2 brits, 1 soviet. So when its 2 brtis its so big large amount of mortar - how to coutner it? They are usinf Vickers, so I cant come close to ther positions first, I dont have any mg in the beginning (good times when Kubel had posssibility to suppres are gone forever) After They are building mortars here. I cant come close - their infantry + vickers are pushing me away. After I have first truck, Im starting producing Mg34 but its already too late - their first mortar begin to kill all around. After they adding one more and one more and so on. When I have panter to kill Mortars and Bofors - they have AT guns already there. So its impossible... I use Fortification Doctrine, Most of times. Its the best doctrine for OKW. But I need 8 points of skills to have my Howitzers . Its too late. Brtis have their artillery must eariler. Any ideas? Surviving 'till Panther is not an option - it doesnt help much. Mostly I loose anyway. When 1 british player its still could be stopped but 2... OMG... Its IMBA
It's mostly ostheer job to deal with emplacements but okw also has some pretty good units for this. The most obvious choice is setting the battlegruppe HQ just outside of mortars range so you could bombard them with LeIG (attack ground ofc) and reinforce them when needed. This usually deals well with emplacements but if you would like to speed up the process you can also use cloaked raketenwerfers and stuka zu fuss but remember to use them when brace is realoading - they will have to brace not to get killed really fast by the LeIG, you wait unitll it stops and fire AT guns or stuka. Stuka also is great at killing repairing royal engineers.
If you manage to kill all bofors emplacements so you can get a little closer, volkgrenadiers have great incendiary granade that deals tons of damage to emplacements and lasts longer than brace. |

The best emplacement killing choice is mortar halftrack. You can also accompany it with some standard mortars and a pak but the halftrack is most important part becouse you can be sure it won't get decrewed. The incendiary shot also quickly kills both emplacements and repairing royal engineers.
What you do:
With standard mortar you barrage the emplacement and shift order attack ground under emplacement. If you are fired upon you move the mortar and repeat. If you are decrewed you recrew and repeat. This is not enough though, you also need the mortar halftrack.
With the mortar halftrack you do almost the same but you start with incendiary, then you also shift order the attack ground. If you get shot by mortar you don't have to move that quickly, but do move if its the artillery firing. Remember to repair the halftrack. If it doesn't work becouse they build more emplacements just build more halftracks, they are cheaper than the emplacement and easier to repair.
When the time comes that enemy emplacements are weak and you need a final blow you can close in with flame version of standard halftrack or pak gun to finish them off.
The most important part is using the attack ground - that way you assure constant barrage so you will land your shots when they have not brace available.
Additionally you can try closing in with some pgrens. Shreck salvo and new bundle nade do loads of damage to emplacements.
Ofc there are also other ways: typically tanks do well against emplacements. LeFh is also quite a good choice. The best emplacement killers are JT and Ele. All of them come too late to be good enough though so the mortar halftrack is still your best bet. |
