In most suggestions you are right. But mind one thing: the fact that you have better rank with one faction than another is no proof of ballance - you are simply better with one than another. The 100 people above you somehow do manage to defeat top 100 allies, do they not?
Also mind that even though these suggestions are mostly right implementing all of them would couse the ballance to completely go the other way round. |
It looks like this when you look at this from the side.
If you were insinde this, you would say different.
Point is, there were situations where people could lose an eye just becasue javelin was heavy at the tip. Even if the chance for such situation in 0,1%, after throwing 100 heavy javelins it's 10%.
Yeah, you are right, I guess you made it as heavy as possible to keep it save at the same time. But maybe there is another way. You can hollow the wooden part of the javelin, similarly to the way some lances were made. That way, if some of the insides is kept in the front part but whole middle and rear part are empty, you can acheive better stability of flight without making the weapon heavier. |
There is already tennis ball covered with plenty fabrics
Tennis ball is not heavy enough. But it's kind of a good idea becouse you can put something really heavy between the ball and the stick. The tennis ball will then make sure you are not harmed with it and the heavy element that the javelin flies the way javelin does. |
The point is, tip is light, just a stick covered with fabric and without any weight at the tip it can easily turn over in the air.
Then you should put something there, not pointed enough to deal damage but heavy enough to give the intended trajectory. Like a leaden ball covered with multiple layers of fabric or something similar. |
You guys need to train javelin throwing more I mean I know you don't want to kill each other but this looked really bad at times, as if you had it in your hand for the first time. |
All the replay file contains is player data, chat data, data of all orders issued during the game with timestamps and rng seed. This allows the file to be small (it consists of no sounds, videos and so on) and gives you opportunity to watch parts of the game you didn't see before, for example you can watch a match from opponents perspective. The downside is you have to watch the replay using game client and it hase to be of exactly the same version as the one that recorded it.
Btw every single replay mechanism in video games works exactly in the same way. |
the issue of lack of armored Japanese who worked in World War II to put in the game, they can simply by the prototypes that have been developed by the Japanese, despite never act in war, were decent vehicles yes, and it would be very pleasant to see them in COH. the own comet of the British never served in World War II, but it is in the game!
Comets actually did fight during operaton plunder. In fact all vehicles used in coh franchise were used in battle during ww2 and this is important clue when you wonder if a some vehicle will or won't be used in this franchise. |
Is it true that you wont hear the mortar Shell if its Landing on top of you?
It'd depend whether the mortar shell will travel to your location faster than the speed of sound reaching. Considering the high arcs of mortars, it's probably quite feasible for mortar shells to approach the ground slower than the sound, though I have no real idea about what the velocity of relevant mortar shells are (most I can find is Wikipedia claiming the obsolete Canadian M19 60mm Mortar's muzzle velocity is 168 m/s).
It doesn't travel faster than the speed of sound. But the difference between the time when you hear it coming your way and the time it hits is about as long as your reaction time. The time you need to jump into cover or hit the dirt is absolutely out of question.
You can ofc jump into cover when you hear the mortar firing, though that would mean all the soldiers are laying on the ground all the time. This will often happen if you are under constant artillery fire for few days, soldier would look for shelter just when they hear the guns fire, not the shells landing or going their way. |
I was told once that all vehicles, including ambo, trigger it. Don't know if it is, or even was ever true. |
i have always hated those mortars. relic should add new animation that stupid soldiers jumping out of the mortar landing point when they are on the open field. instead of waiting to get wiped off.
you can see fucking mortar coming from up sky. so at least you try to jump away.
Except you don't. Once you realise you are the one that is fired upon, you are dead if you stood in the open when the shot was fired.
Soldiers normally hit the dirt after the first shell lands and they wait in such position for the end of barrage as normally there is more than one shot fired on the position. |
