No one knows for sure but Relic is working on Age of Empires 4. After AOE4 we hope to see COH3 - When Dinosaurs ruled the earth!!! Kappa
Well, CoH3 is a different game, not new content. If we talk about CoH2, the appearance of new content is equal to the second coming of Jesus, theoretically possible, but never will happen.
Well, I've read too much over the years on the subject to change my opinion 180 degrees because of one vid. Anyway, purges not only eleiminated people, but those who remained were unable to make any independent decisions and were too scared to take initiative (what is imortant not only after the attack but also months and years before it, preparing troops and equipment and tactics). Stalin was also surprised (many sources state that) and wouldn't accept facts for a month or so, which led to a lot of indecisiveness. There are also many credible interpretations suggesting that the whole Soviet army was grouped to attack, not defend, which influenced the whole initial stage of Barbaross greatly. A long subject. One way or another it is good that Nazis were defeated.
Remember that many of the things this guy says is based solely on Soviet archives. What people write in documents in totalitarian states is just 300-1000% better than what it was in reality.
If the USSR had really prepared for an attack, it would not have had such a tragic beginning to the war. There were no preparations for an attack, only in conspiracy theories:
- almost all divisions had "peacetime staff" which means most divisions had from 4 thousand to 8 thousand people out of 14 thousand standard divisions
- fuel for tank units that were on the western border was stored in the Caucasus.
- if the USSR was preparing for an attack, then the troops were in full combat readiness, but this did not happen. The order of a possible attack was received only a few days before the war, and with a big caveat - not to succumb to provocations.
Oh a lot of people knew it was coming. But the guy who mattered most (Stalin) basically refused to believe it or just didn't plan for it at all. Soviets weren't even close to prepared for an invasion
In the USSR, they were not fools and understood that war was inevitable. Therefore, the Army was increased many times, which of course influenced the first years of the war - a lack of training. A large-scale rearmament began - self-loading rifles for soldiers, the development of new fighters, new tanks. In 1941, the T-34 was to be replaced by a T-34M with 60 mm frontal armor, three turret people and of the 500 T-34M that were to be built in 1941, 380 were supposed to be with ZiS-4 (tank version of ZiS-2 ) 57 mm cannon - a very powerful anti tank gun.
At the same time, the USSR was supposed to get the ultimate KV-3 with a powerful 107-mm gun.
The USSR simply did not have time to reorganize, if the German attack had been postponed until 1942, this would give significantly more opportunities for the USSR in the beginning.
Redesign of Penalties... again, which number is this topic? And what for the six years of the existence of the game? Why for the Grenadiers and Panzer Grenadiers does not pass such a topic every week? The answer is simple and obvious - damn Penalties were always superfluous. And I'm already tired of repeating such an obvious thing. There are such weekly topics about the redesign of Fines just confirm this fact. Penalties are superfluous, remove Penalties.
We should talk about the global redesign of the Soviet infantry, and not about how to fix an unnecessary unit.
There are no specialized ones; regular tanks were used as commander tanks. T-70 and T-80 were used as a commander in the SU-76 unit, because they had the same spare parts. Valentines who were already living so weak since the middle of the war were used as commanders. But Pz.3 was considered the best commander’s tank, because of its comfort (like the Allies, the old M3 Li was used as commander’s because it is huge and comfortable in it)
I would call it a stupid ability. The game is based on maximum safety and maximum receiving vet, but here it is simply a suicide ability. Due to low armor penetration, the T-34 should be a tank for flank attacks - and here there is a discrepancy, lack of speed or the ability to increase speed. I personally would like to remove the "ram" and give the ability to "fire and maneuver" as vet - an increase in the speed of movement, rotation of the turret and there may be a little rate of fire.
