Great argument bro. Too bad "awesome" gets you nowhere fast versus heavy tanks, against someone who knows to reverse and repair.
I guess the win rate discrepancy between factions, esp. in longer games/team games is a l2p issue too, right?
Heavy tanks are a non issue for the usf. in fact they have the best TD in the game to quickly wipe out any heavy tank. the only thing tigers and king tiger accomplish is giving jacksons a bucket load of vet.
Te most dangerous TD's for the usf are actually the puma's as they combine firepower and speed and are cheap enough to mass produce. 2 puma's do more damage then 3 panthers and they have the speed to catch up with usf armour.

Veterancy needs to be toned down. It's what makes late game infantry combat ridiculous (esp. in combination with LMGs).
Veterancy is also a contributing factor to why late game tank battles end up as shit for US. Their tanks are hard to keep alive, so it's hard to accumulate vet.
l2p issue. especially since usf vet for tanks is awesome. |
-222 comes same tiers as Pak40 and PGs.
-Dodge is a doctrinal unit
-M20 comes in a tiers without AT capabilities
-M3 scout car comes from in a tiers without AT capabilities
-Kubel is Koningkubel and comes in a tiers with AT capabilities.
The "asymmetrical balance" may come from that. If you increase 222 health, you'll need a really AT capability to deal with so force people into a unique playstyle, or you need to align the balance by providing AT capabilities in every tiers to each faction.
Going M20 or dodge or M3 is a high risk / high reward option
-High risk because you only rely on soft AT counter to deal with light and medium vehicles until you can unblock the next tier.
Going 222 is not an high risk / high reward option since it comes in a tier with Hard and soft AT capabilities.
In fact, you can build Pak first and 222 or 222 first and pak next.
Nonsense. the soviets can have both tier 1 and tier 2 out before the 222/flaktrack comes out.
the 222 needs to be buffed (and perhaps a price increase) because of the rather insane teching cost disparities between the ostheer and usf, the power of early game rifleman and the impact usf m20/flacktack has on the midgame. i rather see the 222 to be equal in power to usf flacktrack when it comes to killing light tanks and vehicles but nowhere near the AI power. |
because flanks and grenades only work for allies and luchs does not tear through support squads.
Your correct it only does work for allies. in the hands of a competent player the 50 cal / maxim is borderline impossible to flank. that said maxim spam doesnt work vs the okw as obers piss on unsupported maxims. |
You can also get a Stuka fairly early compared to the Kat and Panzerwerfer.
in 1vs1 that's a death sentence. |
I really like them, and I'm starting to play more with them, than with the Soviets. I think they really lack serious AT, because that Jackson isn't cutting the deal when you're up against KT/JT + Stuka.
JT just kills everything armored, so when you go heavy AT, the Stuka will just tear everything apart.
This just shows how ridiculous some units like the JT/isu152 and elephant are. in 1vs1 us late game is perfectly viable and doesn't need call ins compared to the soviet late game. |
I would increase it to 70.
Why the hell does the doctrinal USF lmg, which is worse, cost 70mun?
because it does more damage and has defensive stance? |
ISU is still useful imo(just not an automatic weapon), now if only we can work on the Jadgtiger and Elefant
OMFG thats one awesome gif. |
You are either forgetting or ignore one big part of the shocks discussion... Their range.
Thats why they have smoke grenades and much more firepower and pointblank range. |
This was my point all along. I would be ok with Obers being as powerful as they are if there was a readily available way in which to counter them. Light and medium vehicles are not viable counters as OKW has the best light and medium tank killers in the game non-doctrinally.
As a result, your methods of counter are basically down to mines and heavy tanks.
This statement is annoying the crap out of me, The puma doesn't guarantee an autowin against the m20/quad or stuart. usage of these light vehicle depends on skill ability usage and terrain and more then once i have knocked out the early puma and decided the game. |
