This video is joke, yes, worst use ever, yes, BUT the Flak HT need better survivability, before reach vet1 smoke, the pack up time is huge pain/nullified micro, and no brainer... This is not a MG, this is a 55 fuel priced vehicle, who now cant escape vs a simply AT gun what start shoot from fog of war, or charging AT inf. I think vet0 smoke need this unit better, than puma/or pack up time must go... Another problem, is the ballistic weapon type, vs open ground, where terrain have a bit elevation, simply dont hit nothing, but the ground. This need change, again. |
The people not want a unit wiht a AC agility, with a Ostwind firepower, in first buildable unit Mr.Deeds. But i want a useable unit, who has the ability for fallback, if need. Relic want this unit for main defensive OKW unit, vs inf. blob? OK, need a good long setup time, i dont care, but not pack up, because if you lost your first vehicle not your fault, but the broken ballistic weapon+high ground+idiot pack up time, is not good. I dont like see this scenario, rifles charge with bazooka/guards/conscript with AT nade, HT shoot the ground, and hopeless the retreat, or from fog of war, the AT gun shoot you, you immedieatly try escape, with good awareness-micro, and you can't. This is bad. |
Obersoldaten 4 member/high rfc cost(50mp)squad, so a best target for well used snipers, have ZERO AT capability, so best target for all AI vehicles(even US M20, or SU M3-M5 can harass him), and Shock Troops, using his smoke grenade while charge close range, kill them badly. US side, the lmg1919x2 upgraded rifles can fight vs Ober farly well, Paratroopers with lmg upgrade superior or at least equal, under the Obers vet4. I think, Ober is fine unit. |

IMO for countering the SU sniper team, not good the WM sniper, too much risk, you havent big chance kill whole squad, but you can only one mistake, and your squad gone... Mortar, or arty AoE flame weapon would be better, and need continue all time AC push-flank, once you can fallow his retreating sniper team/s to his base, or catch up off guards, you probably win the game with good chance. |
With a faster(max 1 sec), or no pack up time, this units would be fine imo. |

Yes, the number 1 problem is before you reach smoke vet1 ability, you are defensless as hell, so pack up time is the main achilles heel. I think would be good, really, if the design want pure DEFENSE role for this unit, 3 sec setup time, and NO pack up time, yes. In a close game, you have really punished most of times, where you bought first unit Flak HT, but whitout this unit, early inf blobs, where hit the critical mass, Shock, lmg-bar rifles, eat your infs alive, and yes, where ST -s stomping in your infs, you have most of time in a close games, not have Obers, or luchs. |
Flak HT is a good unit, but i think, need reduce the deploy time, or a significant fuel decrease. Now too much risk with HT, the safe way all time the puma, and i think its not good, Puma need stay for his primary role: fight vs light vehicles, and with massed vs lone med. tanks, but OKW desperatly need BEFORE Sturmtiger, or Luchs a good AI capable unit, who can fight vs Shocktroopers, or double BAR-or worse double LMG1919 rifles blob, without the risk, if you loose this paralyzed HT, you literally lost the game, most of time, because you lost early first 55 Fuel investment, as OKW, who has alltime fuel starving effect. |
I not spend for this resources, if i need some area defense, buy a flak HT instead... |
