I'd have thought that the OST sniper G43 came first. Though honestly it's immaterial, Even "only" a four times scope is not a logical choice for a CQB weapon, and given that it is a scoped rifle, it really makes more sense for them to be long-ranged weapons. STGs exist to be the "cqb" option for Axis squads, if that's something people want. In: COH2 Gameplay

It's a semi-automatic rifle that is advantaged at close and mid range due to a higher rate of fire, but not disadvantaged at long range because it's still a rifle. It's a scoped rifle, and it has several /wildly/ different dps profiles depending on the squad using it. The STG should be the weapon to act as you describe, the G43 really should be a mid/long range focused weapon, not a "close range/On the move" armament. In: COH2 Gameplay

Really? This has been the case for a /very/ long time. G43 used by squads other than JLI or the OST sniper act as close-range weapons, I don't like it either, but this isnt new. In: COH2 Gameplay

Are you sure? My understanding is that they only /require/ two men in order to recrew the weapon, but will take three if three are available. Or is this some new bug? In: COH2 Bugs

Also: Salvage is fairly quick, but it requires that your squad be on top of the item to be salvaged, and it is EXTREMELY hazardous to perform. Squads can be killed in the blink of an eye due to the incredibly potent bonuses you're given against salvaging units. In: COH2 Balance

That'll be the Sturmtiger that you can see coming, and doesn't oneshot medium tanks, I suppose? Or is there a different one that can fire at any practically point on the map with an obscenely random spread, and obliterate medium vehicles in a single shell? I'm not sure what would give you the impression that I (or anyone else, for that matter) considers the Sturmtiger or AVRE well designed units, though. I'm fairly sure I've made clear before that oneshot cannons aren't fun design, so I fail to see why you're bringing it up , especially given the fact the AVRE/Sturmtiger aren't really the same as the B4. It was/is only fun for the player using it, though. It's the very antithesis of fun for your opponent, so I'm glad it's getting changes. It seemingly needs some /more/ changes, though.
