A slight increase to fuel cost for Cromwell is hardly a nerf to UKF armor.
a cost nerf is still a nerf.

it's going to take a lot more buff to the british's mobile force to make them "balance", especially if you're going to nerf the cromwell tank. a small speed buff to the churchill is not going to make it useful. In: COH2 Balance |

leave mg42 alone, it's fine. #readthethread maybe try the m-42 to be more similar to the raketenwerfer? decrease tha atg's range in exchange for actual useful penetration, damage, and cloak. In: COH2 Balance |

how long does it take for a zis to kill a 222? the m-42 is crap, but it make sense for a mg to be able to murder vehicle faster if you can penetration it. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: the cure for cancer (aka emplacement)16 Mar 2016, 12:20 PM
The fact that the Axis gets emplacements is irrelevant. The reason why the British emplacements work different (and thus get Brace) compared to Axis is because the faction is built around them. For the Axis, we have the Ostheer as the Defensive-themed faction but they focus more on Support weapons and units (Mortar, MG42, Sniper, Mortar Halftrack, PaK etc). to say that the british is built around emplacement is ridiculous. It's an strategy for the british, but it does not and should not define their faction. there's three emplacements for the british, the 17 pounder, the bofor, and the mortar. the 17 pounder's function can be performed by the 6 pounder and the firefly. the bofor is an optional tech that's exclusive with the AEC. the mortar emplacement is the only emplacement the british doesn't get a mobile alternative. The mortar emplacement is really the only emplacement the british is stuck using. In: COH2 Balance |

stationary defensive is weak to artillery, that's how it is. If an enemy bunker down in an area, you either go around him or shell him into oblivion. Unfortunately, going around the enemy is not always an option, even in 2v2. Charging an fortified enemy defensive is suicidal, just ask any USF player in the pre-terminator days. Even if OKW can counter advanced emplacement with LeIG and stuka, it still means the ost player is screwed without the right doctrine. The mortar ht is in a grand total of approximately two doctrines, festung support and spearhead. The british does have a common artillery technically, the coordinated fire from the tommys and snipers. If british is going to be kept from possessing an mortar for the sake of asymmetrical balance, then at least buff the coordinated artillery. A faction with no form of artillery is going to be either a punching bag or a stonewall, and neither are that fun to play with or against. At least OKW knows to separate their emplacement and artillery. and really, the british isn't the first faction to get emplacement in coh2. The axis had already got their flak truck and pak43 and make them sort of work. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Riflemen OP with Vet patch 16 Mar 2016, 06:49 AM
I dont think rifles can be nerfed without making officers better because they are the only infantry they get... As its been said if you make rifles worse then volks eat them if you buff pgrens and obers because of rifles even the OP conscript wont stand even an imaginary chance. Obers shouldnt be an instant "stop building infantry" or "max vet!?! Ha I laugh at your delicate squad preservation!" and pgrens are pretty good with micro... To contend with the ober timing what about..... A sidegrade in hq when one truck is up? Then it doesnt matter how you tech and they can come out a biit sooner (amd pick up some vet) panzergrenadier have never been a problem for the USF. It's always been about the lmg42 grenadier for the wehr. the only "elite" infantry that have been a problem for the USF is the ober. Fallschirmjager is great for surprise attack but they are not really that amazing outside of that context. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: 1v1 / 2v2 - Anyone using Churchills?16 Mar 2016, 05:59 AM
1280 hp, 320 armor 510 mp 180 fuel 16 pop it's a decent amount of hp and armor, but nothing ridiculous like the 1600 hp we had before. 16 pop because 18 pop is too high for a pure meatshield. the tiger is 19 pop. You're asking the wrong question. are the anvil bonuses good? yes Are bonuses good enough to excuse the weakness of churchill? hardly. Hammer is just a much better package as it provide good bonuses and a good tank to use. In: COH2 Balance |

soviet mortar will kill an okw flak truck given time, bofor and ostheer shouldn't be any different. In: COH2 Balance |
