It's fine for flavour units like Ostruppen, but mainline inf? Not really. You can't always pick and choose engagements, when certain strategic points need to be taken. I like the defensive focus. With this change, Advanced Emplacement Regiment won't do anything. It really depends on just how protected they are in this generic emplacement and how much a functionless emplacement costs. In: COH2 Gameplay

Even if you nerf the Comet into the ground, its still going to picked over the Churchill every time. The Churchill tank needs a purpose and I don't think some utility stuff will make it worth using. Thread: Comet at 20!?! population9 Apr 2017, 21:52 PM The biggest problem with the Comet is it doesn't know what its role is. Its a Panther but its also an MBT. Really, Tier 4 shouldn't contain any generalist tanks and certainly no concepts such as 'heavy mediums' (this goes for all factions). The comet should be nerfed to normal levels but it should also be buffed at the same time and given a defined role. The Churchill needs to be evaluated and given a role as well. Both British end game tanks suffer from lack of clear defined role that they can function well at. The Churchill and Comet need to be as strong as each other in a set defined role and no amount of utility will do that. Most British problems stem from nerfs at faction release and no fixes; mainly to Hammer/Anvil and British development curve through the match not being examined. In: COH2 Balance

Such as IS, Valentine, Sexton, and especially Churchills (all variants with base version needing it the most) with these all these nerf's that is happening. Or is that #OutOfScope? They cost MP and fuel. But they don't have a magic forcefield. OH constantly has to pick a commander on what the Brit decides to do. British emplacements should be used as a luxury support unit. Not a sim city play style that is able to support itself. For it to be a 'luxury', there needs to be a non-emplacement equivalent. Only the 17 Pounder has one. Where is the Mortar Pit or Bofors equivalents? OKW/OH Emplacements don't need to be as strong as British emplacements as they do not focus on them, design wise. Ostheer is the closest to the British, but they put more focus on Team Weapons/Support Units. In: COH2 Balance
