File is linked to the Comet and 80 range is still far too much for this ability. Still can smoke off ATGs with only a minor chance of return fire when sighted beforehand. Increased the Cromwell's target size. Previously it was too small matching armoured cars in terms of target size which made it incredibly difficult to hit with other medium tanks. It is still the smallest medium tank, but will be easier for other AT weapon to engage.
-Target size from 18 to 20
-Smoke Range from 80 to 60.
yes, the cromwell is small, it's also one of the the biggest reason the cromwells are viable in a game where the axis anti tank weapon penetration cut through allied armor.
If you want to nerf the cromwell, nerf its rotation rate. Its high rotational rate of 38 is what allow it to crush infantry so easily. From my personal testing, Lowering the cromwell's rotation rate to 32 will its remove itslawn mower capability while still allow it to out maneuver axis tanks.
that smoke ability is also one of the few smoke ability for the british. Yes, a sighted cromwell can smoke the atg with impunity, but that's called combined arms. (comet's WP smoke is another mater). Unless the british get some sort of mobile smoke, the cromwell's smoke need to remain at 80.
PS: Double-Bren Tommies would probably be OP with their Vet3 "feature". However, I am sure that there are other ways to hamper their performance in other ways which are not so blatantly RNG-dependent.
well, you can limit the bren to max of one per squad. It's entirely possible to do this without messing up the other upgrade.
might as well do something similar for the m1919a6 as well. I hate double lmg in general.
Very cool post thanks. Ive read several times that allies is stronger than axis in general. This information backs that statement up(at least for the top players). OKW seems to have benefited strongly from the supposed vet fix, but dropped afterwards (last graph) anyone has theories why?
most of the okw's veterancy were affected by the bug. Fixing the bug gave the okw a significant boost.
part of the problem is the fact that the panzergrenadier are already using assault rifles. Semi-auto rifle realistically isn't going to be an improvement.
If this was the case, then they would not be able to pick up more weapons unless of course they have 4 weapon slots, which seems unlikely, but if the stats could be procured for this then I'd believe the statement.
It happens for all units that have a non-droppable upgrade: G43 grens, PPSH cons, G43 Storms, Tommies, Pathfinders and so forth. I don't think it is working as intended. It resembles the old Guards who dropped weapons left and right, and that was fixed(to some extent). I doubt that all these units should have a higher drop rate than other units.
note: heavy weapon here refer to stuff like the ppsh, lmg42, PTRS, and minesweeper
there's two "size" when it comes to heavy weapon, slot item size and number of model.
Most squad have a slot item size of 2. Combined with the size of 1 on most heavy weapon, this mean they can equip two heavy weapon. Note that stuff like the garand sniper and minesweeper have a size of 0, meaning they don't affect the squad from picking up weapon off the rack or off the ground.
what affect drop rate is number of model in a squad. When a model carrying a heavy weapon die, his weapon get passed to the next member that's not using a heavy weapon. If everyone else is carrying a heavy weapon (or the weapon carrier was the last member of the squad), the recently dead's heavy weapon have to roll to see if it will drop on the ground.
I do not approve of infantry section scaling onto ober level. I barely approve ober's insanely high dps either, but in practice they are tolerable.
personally I would remove the scoped enfield but limit the bren to one per squad. It's possible to change the weapon rack to disallow dual bren but admit PIAT + bren. Dual bren from ground pick up is fine since it's spoils of war.
