This clearly has to be corrected ASAP. Yes, its unacceptable for elite sturm pioneers, special assault forces armed with stg44 to not deal with a mainline infantry whether they are in cover or not. At best SP have to hide and flank, and its powerspike drops fairly fast, they also become the most expensive engi unit ingame as a main drawback. Loosing SP is very bad too. You design means that a OKW player did not get punished by a destroyed HQ, they just lose the cost of truck (200MP, 30Fuel). You still get punished quite hard since you lost a production facility, unlike UKF ones or USF ambulances. The resource "punish" idea is rather a bad design, because of that the faction cant use at all its advantage to place in map buildings, it also suffers a lot from the resource and map control, its like UKF got punished for building emplacements or SU get punished after getting more than 2 conscripts/penals squads. Thread: Feelings after the Decemberpatch2 Jan 2019, 16:11 PM AE have become too durable for my taste, running straight into close range, having that much close DPS means a early win button... thay should be good, but not that good. USF already has an engi starter unit (RE) and assengis can be put into risk without the same consecuences as SP or pioneers would. Also flamer upgrade is good but it feels odd on a 5 man squad, again its not that hard to rush into cqc as they are now. IMO lower its dps a bit should do the trick. In: Lobby
Thread: Rework Penals1 Jan 2019, 23:41 PM I know im not popular because of what im about to say, but teamgames (3v3;4v4) require coordination more than balance. If two players join to push it should be neccesary other two players stoping that said push. Thats the problem with this topic also, penals have high offensive power, mixed with great blob sinergy (what i mean, they boost themselves killing faster). HMGs will counter them but as i said in another topic, will not kill the blob, and thus they will strike again in other place. The problem itself is a combination of big offensive power and the classic blob issue In: COH2 Balance

OKW main weakness it is its logistics. They didnt have any cache/resource boost until 221 came out last patch. 221 still its not comparable to cache, although it helps a little in the resource department. Now back to topic, SP are a good early unit but its true they become somewhat useless later on and specially on firestrum doctrine, they loose their shock value quite fast and become a nuisance. On the other side, SP should not get spammed, boosting its survival would cause that, and if a volks nerf is incoming, even more SP will be spammed. Edit: maybe vet bonus buffing its running speed or focus on utility will diverse the squad from shock to engi squad In: COH2 Balance
