Thread: LOL why build heavy tanks anymore?11 Apr 2020, 17:59 PM Jump back to quoted post11 Apr 2020, 09:24 AMBlueKnight Tbh from my experience they are still 100% worth the investment I'm removing Heavy Cavalry Company from my top 3 USF commander roster for the first time since 2017 when I bought this game. You no longer have an effective heavy tank with that commander and are left with only Rangers, call in smoke, Riflemen field defenses and Combined Arms. Rangers as an elite anti-infantry unit are pretty meh, they come late, aren't effective without their expensive Thompson upgrade, and are pretty easily countered. Paratroopers are a much better infantry unit than Rangers. However, since I will no longer be building Pershings it might be good to replace the Pershing with two sqauds of triple bazooka Ranger sqauds. That might be a effective AT solution without the punishing fuel costs that buying a Pershing would incur. In: COH2 Balance

LOL I haven't come close to learning that game. Looks really interesting but I can't even figure out how to move units around. I've only spent like 1/2 an hour on that game though. Is their primary purpose to make the game progressively more balanced with each update or is it just to change the meta? Personally I hate the latter. I can't stand the constant changes to unit stats and having to relearn the game every 3-6 months. In: COH2 Balance

Why are you trying to take indirect fire options away from a faction without rocket arty? Because it's not their preferred faction, rather it's the one they face in matches. Therefore they come up with all these wonderful "ideas" on how best to nerf USF's units. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Are the patches making this game progressively worse?11 Apr 2020, 02:37 AM I feel like this game has been getting worse and worse with each balance patch and it's been that way since 2018. They're making all these changes and basically turning this upside down I hardly recognize it anymore and I was a late comer to this game, started playing about 3 years ago. I'm trying to get into Hearts of Iron IV, but I think you need some kind of college level course dedicated to learning how to play that game. In: COH2 Balance

Rate of fire OR penetration like you said is probably a good idea Yeah I think it needs the retreat too. But it doesn't need the 5th man or increased range. They just need to revert the more recent changes to it. All they had to do really was remove the stupid cheesy moving cloak. In: COH2 Balance

They made them worse in so many ways without compensating in anyway. I wish the game had professional game testers do balance patches. I don't think anything pisses me off more with these patches than when they make a unit worse than it was before, and then increase it's cost at same time. Honestly that's worse than buffing a unit and decreasing it's cost because at least with the latter you're adding a unit rather than subtracting one. In: COH2 Balance

Now what it the point in building anything else since USF infantry can handle axis infatry? LOL no they cannot. USF doesn't get stock elite infantry like Obersoldaten or Panzergrenadiers. Nor do they get sqaud wiping satchels (which are laughably cheap and require no side teching). I am still an awe about how dense this community is on the M36 Jackson. In: COH2 Balance

This thread is a CHANGE suggestion. An overall positive net change for all factions, USF included You're talking about making a unit, and an entire faction worse than it is. I'm sorry but Tiger and Panther tanks were not invincible armored behemoths in real life, there were an assortment of vehicles and guns that could kill them relitively easily. They were not invincible in real life I don't know why people expect that they should be in this game too. In: COH2 Balance
