The comparison of vet 3 SU-85 with vet 5 JP has number of issue which I will not going into and simply point out again that double XP is required. Sort answer is comparing once vetted does not really help because the chance of missing is rather low and vet 0 the ROF is similar (while SU-85 has superior penetration). Okay i shoudnt have brought up specific units. This doesnt help answer my question Then does higher rof high on any tank or td gun ofset worse scatter? In: COH2 Balance

Just 3 to 3.5 seconds vs 4.3 on the su85, According to coh 2db.com. Its survivability is also better from vet 0. My inital question was doesnt high rof offset its worse scatter compared to the su85. One of the strong points soviet units is that they have so good extra abilities coming with them that they can impact the game instantly, because they aren't just one thing counter unit. Easiest example is Zis gun which is all purpose gun, because of it's barrage ability. Panzergrenadiers aren't that strong they need nerfing on their coming to play, it's a thing that soviet player has to account for in the early-mid game. The t70 comes late because ost has trouble dealing with it, even though in terms of at power the pak 40 is supirior as well as the shreck is suprior to the prts. Now ost should account for a t70 at the same time as the 251 hit the field? no they dont and neither should soviets for pgrens. I believe pgrens come to early, they are much more leathal then penals are to grens, grens also have a better mg's to help control strong infantry as well as ai upgrades. soviets do not this has to be taken into account. I still love my Jagdpanzers though. They're a quality little TD, especially with Elite Armour doc for the HEAT shells. isent the bad scatter ofset by the (much)higher rof on the jagdpzr? And you here complaining life is hard for soviets, give me a break =) He has a point, the zis is more important then others factions atguns are to them. All other factions get either ai upgrades or nades or both to deal with weapon team/inf besides mortars. soviets just get bodies to throw at them if the zis didnt have it barrage ability. molly satchal are way to forgiving in time range and or damage. I wonder if you flip the question around, how much % can SU85 fire back at panther from 50 range. Also iirc SU85 rate of fire is better! Panther has about a third more hp, panther will pen every shot that hits, su85 pens about 88% at vet 0 if i did my math right. Su85 can selfspot at the cost of speed and mobility and 360 vision. Has no ai and no turret, but 60 range and decent to good rof esp vetted. The panther has a turret, more armour and hp, ai , a pintle , high pen, 50 range wich is 10 less the su85 but 10 more then medsiums, decent rof to good rof when vetted, heavy crush greatly increasing its mobility, and until vet 3 the panther is faster and turns faster. So if the su85 is greatness the panther is godlike. In: COH2 Balance

Point of puma is actually having a mobile vehicle that can fight on par or better vs t70/stuart/daimler. Anyway even if you go for puma you get a pretty lackluster commander whose only reason to even take it is the Puma. Why it shouldn't be so late in getting it if you pick that commander. What allied options are a better counter to light vehicles? Allied light tanks arive after the 251 250 222 luchs. All have quite some time to their work before allied lights hit the field. Why should the puma be out at the same time and deney any window for these lights? In: COH2 Balance

CP 5 Puma without needing tech or lower CP 2 puma with needing teching done. A one shotting teller mine, faust out ofvthe gat, high rof ans snare with vet atgun, double shrecks isent good enough on top of have earlier and not muchless impactfull light vehicles?
