Mortars now do less damage and have a smaller AOE, meaning if they don't get a direct hit they don't do anything, and when they do it does less damage than a grenade. Meanwhile, in COH1, a good, direct hit on a clump of units would kill or critically injure them all. Mortars were a force to be reckoned with, something you wouldn't dare take on without some kind of mobile piece or counter-artillery. Now, its only a slight annoyance, and that feels wrong. The AOE is so small the explosion fx doesn't even match it.
have u played this game ? mortar are x10 more accurate in coh2 and fire much faster, in coh1 squad would jump away before the mortar hit, so they could doge it a bit, here they just get wiped in cover (and here cover formation is 1mm from each other, in coh1 it was 2 m) so no mortar are strong and way more precise with AA than they should be |
I can agree that is a strong in green cover but that's their role, I would just reduce their close range dps so if u flank them u are rewarded |

get comet when : there is no heavy tank spam, need some meat, they spam medium (it has enough pen and accuracy to "always" damage p4)

do u guys rember the panzer elite ? how about some upgrade for a light at gun and a mobile mg 42 , it would work like the american AA truck but it has same cone as mg 42 and suppress only if it stand still but it would need a buff to the damage

That is exactly the reason why you can. T-34 has same price tag as stug but more pop. Why would that be considered right? Su-85 might be a little low at 12 but I don't think it is the matter to discuss in this thread.
For example the m10 is at 10 pop and it is similiar in performance and cost to stug. (it does not have the dps of the stug but has the crush and turret)
Another thing is that su-76 also has similar price tag to T-34 (although its cheaper than both t-34 and stug) and 8 pop is also pretty low for it.
That said I would be for either changing both stug and su-76 from 8 to 9, or su76 to 9 and stug to 10.
speciliezed units always need too have less pop than generalist units if not there is no point in building them so no stug pop cap to means that all other generalist pop increase too |

the comet should be cheaper. The comet should lose to the panther, but right now people seems to over estimate the comet's anti-infantry capability.
remember that the last mega patch substantially nerf the comet's anti-infantry capability as well. Larger scatter + shorter range + slower rotation significantly cut down its killing power against infantry. Plus the nerf to its WP shell. The comet actually took a bigger cut to Anti-infantry than anti-tank.
At the same thing the wehr panther saw a substantial boost to their coaxial and hull mg. They are actually okay at killing infantry as long as it stay stationary. Meanwhile the mg on the comet completely suck.
the comet could probably go down to 470 mp 175 fuel and 16 pop. abig nerf to wp shell right ? and what changed ? they can't kill inf solo unlike the other PW shells ? |

1) JP Penetration is 50% at max range
2) ISU-152 can does not have to change munition before engaging armor, the HE have does deflection damage and should be fired before switching. One can actually fire HE, then fire concrete piercing and then switch AP if needed.
3) Reload on its own is misleading if the units in question do different damage per shot.

You can counter attack once he runs into S-Mines. It's a lot easier to attack when you know your flanks are secure. Don't forget that.
yes but it doesn't solve the problem , you need fast panzer green to reach jackson and the PG need some defense form the bar blob, s mines dont help here |
