It should be a 36x36 PNG, I think. Looking good! Did you make it by hand?
Also, there's already a symbol called "Icons_symbols_unit_german_m1938_120mm_mortar_symbol". It's probably meant for the PM-38 and just wrongly named. But I don't know if the shells actually look like that, so yours might be more accurate!
It based on shield symbol from this picture (i tried to remove this fire around shell):
and for comparison .
Can you please post here this "Icons_symbols_unit_german_m1938_120mm_mortar_symbol" emblem?
Edit: About the MG 42 uprgade for Grenadiers - the proper icon is actually included in the game files, just not used. It's called "Icons_upgrades_icon_upgrade_german_mg42_lmg" and looks like this:
Thank you! I will put it in the first post, but for me variant from vCoH looks much better
I think HM is also correct in this case. At least Google has a lot of results for it!
Out of curiosity: The Russian designations for the mortars are 82-PM-41 and 120-PM-38, right?
I have seen a number of name variants, but maybe you are right.
P.S. As i know, it named PM because of "Полевой Миномет (ПМ/PM)" or in English "Field Mortar". Also i have seen variant "Полковой Миномет", or in English "Regimental Mortar".
Also, you can find variant like "XXmm Mortar Model 19XX"
While it performs like a light tank in the game, that's not historically accurate at all. Mark XI had the same gun as the Cromwell Mark VII and comparable armour, but it had a weak engine and was slow as hell. You could say it was the predecessor of the Churchill. Anyway, I think it should simply be called "Valentine Mk. XI Infantry Tank" in the game!
You goddamn right! If we use british designation for british tanks, it should be "Infantry Tank".
UPDATE: If we going to use historically accurate names, i vote for T-34 Model 1942 (or simply T-34) and T-34-85
I have missed Valentine previously. Missed "Light" (or "Infantry" if we going to use british designation) in the name. Should be "Valentine Mk.XI Light Tank", or "Valentine Mk.XI Infantry Tank"
Would it be possible to add "priotize vehicles" button for open-topped halftrack used in some Wehr doctrines? it is really a pain in the ass to hunt tanks with panzergrens while they shoot a nearby conscripts with their shrecks while inside.
Hey, it is wonderful idea! But for Panzer Grenadiers and other tank-hunter squads. Thank you!
This picture reminds me that we need to standardise starting positions for this map. Because right now in 1v1 player one player always have advantage (nearer to cut off) while second player gets always base fahrer from cut off. This is randomly set.
Should be that both players get either randomly worse or randomly better starting position, but always the same in terms of other player.
IMHO if map designed to be played 2vs2, it should be only in 2vs2 automatch. I am still fail to see the reason for adding hybrid maps.
The only 2 instances of penal units I've seen I think are in Enemy at the Gates and Generation War, and neither were regarded as "Elite" units, better equipped than their ordinary counterparts.
Haven't seen second one (Generation War, but i will do it), but "Enemy at the Gates" is not the best choice to prove your point of view. Much better to read Grossman's "Life and Fate".
P.S. Ooops, offtop. I am sorry
