I do think that usf is not at all well designed to be skipping tech... The refit idea can also be implemented to other infantry besides refilemen like USF crew that have lost their vehicles. The idea behind the USF faction was that they will have the best mainline infantry and very good light vehicles but less access to support weapons. The whole idea went to scrap when USF got a mortar, Penals become equally strong, VG got a ST44 upgrade and USF light vehicles where nerfed. The where designed to skip tech and they worked when they early game was strong, now not so much. In: COH2 Gameplay

If they comes out as suggested, I bet all OKW will spam 2~3 pf + 0~2 raket that can destory all alli car/tank line in 3vs3 or 4vs4 Although I am not supporting either side I have to point out that shrecks also have lower accuracy and reload, are more expensive and they are restrictions to units that can use them. Both factions had access to everything if they paid a similar amount. I'm just saying that USF weird teching is one of their main problems, and I think the solution is to lower the costs a bit. That would mean that USF get access to everything and the faction would have to be redesign so that either their infantry or the support weapon would need to be toned down. In: COH2 Gameplay

It's not a very big deal for a Soviet player to get T1 and T2, because those tiers are inexpensive, along with the rest of their tech. A USF player who gets their weapon upgrades, ambulance, a lieutenant, and a major has spent 205 fuel. That's the same as an Ostheer player who has everything. But that is by faction design... Something else could be done with the officers in my opinion we just have to find the best option. Simply add the ability to promote infantry to LT and Captain. It could work a bit like refit, the ability is activated by the corresponding tent in the base removing the infantry and returning an officer for the cost difference. (mechanism can also be used to train doctrinal infantry) Shared veterancy and passive sprint should be removed from fighting officers. In: COH2 Gameplay

Is-2 and isu both have pintle but they are kinda expensive to count... Other factions have pintle to increase the odds or even multiple units that they can pick. M5 is also one of the least durable. It's got a job and it does it. But it has glaring weaknesses too Try testing in cheat mode and see how fast it can shoot down planes compared to any other AA weapon. The fact that Soviet have little AA power is why I suggested lowering the mu cost. In: COH2 Balance

On the issue of Quad I guess one could test making suppression a timed ability while reducing the mu cost for the upgrade. On the other hand the AA capabilities of the units are OP and should be toned down. In: COH2 Balance
