The unit is a Flanker and should be used similarly to Puma to engage enemy vehicles from the side or the rear. I has enough penetration to do that.

Actually the unit was very cost efficient until 2 changes too place:
1) it required tech
2) M-36 was buffed and now it has to compete with the M-36.

So my suggestions would be to simply make it a call-in and build-able from major for a discount.
Since the unit is specialized it should not create many issues as a call-in as long as it in an commander that does not have AI call-in vehicles available to him so that he can completely skip major with not drawbacks.

In other word simply mode the unit to mechanized, it suit the commander thematically and enhance the commanders specialization of using lighter vehicles for a strong early mid game.

And what are you going to replace the M10 in Armor Company then? I can quote you saying several times here that the commander shouldn't have both an AI and AT call in units.

The E8 would easily overshadow the 105 Sherman in my opinion.

And the 76 Sherman is currently broken, but I'd rather that than an arguably extremely overlapping vehicle which is the M10 right now.

The only other choice I see is the M8 but then as some people say that they only go Recon Company for that vehicle so that's a no-go as well.

On a separate note, I wonder what would happen if the Pak 43 and Hetzer were bundled together for the Ostheer, something called "Anti-Tank measures", since the Hetzer would obviously be used more in the defensive role than offensive such. It wouldn't help the Pak 43 directly, only a 17 pounder emplacement upgrade could do that I suppose, but it would make a bit more sense than providing AI and AT as you said and again, a broken and overlapping structure which is the bunker. Some advanced abilities could just be added to regular Bunkers from Defensive/Entrenching Tools.

The slugger model is not present, but the M10 in game has the Sherman hull (IIRC, i don't use the doctrine since when it fell from meta).

One could eventually keep the actual pen and increase armor to 230-40, some sort of 50 range turretted jagdpanzer 4 to tame mediums, and the best part is that it won't overshadow mediums since m10 won't be optimal counter for heavy tanks.

There were never M10s with Sherman Hulls, only M36 Jacksons, however all of them shared the Sherman's chassis so you might be confusing hulls with chassis.

Edit: Speaking of the M10, I think an M10 "Achilles" in British service would be nice for the Tac Support Regiment instead of the Churchill Crocodile:

Bundle it with a Sherman M4A4 with a .50 cal and it would be a nice "lend-lease" change and provide an alternative to the Cromwell and Firefly.

Edit2: Would be nice if we could replace guns and other models tho to create entirely new units, like an M10 17 pounder Achilles for example, just need to be able to fit on the Firefly gun on there and it would be perfect.

Let's see, for Ostheer we have the Squad Leader/5th man squad upgrade and Pak 43 now combined with the concrete bunkers abilities that are in need of new icons.

For the OKW we have the 221/223 that is right now using the same 222 Icon as the Ostheer.

For the USF I don't think there are any new abilities or anything in need of a new icon.

For the Soviets... I haven't really played them so I have no idea.

For the UKF I already mentioned most in my previous post.

This are mostly from the top of my head.

But again, if you provide me with the extracted icons I can help you fix most of them.

I got some new suggestions for the USF Mech Company.

Cav Rifles become a dedicated Close Quarter Combat unit similar to Shocks:

5 Thompsons (takes up both weapon slots) or

3/4 Thompsons, 1 weapon slot,

smoke grenade (no AT rifle or satchels tho), Combined Arms (passive) and Sprint (similar to Rifle company but as an active unit ability?)

This would make them a more capable CQC unit while giving the player a choice, a more aggressive and specialized anti-infantry unit that has access to smoke and sprint to quickly close the distance.

Smoke and the Thompsons plus Combined Arms and Sprint would make Cav Rifles a better choice in an Urban environment, especially when supported by vehicles.

With Combined Arms becoming a passive because of most of the remarks here about it being too OP because of the vehicle part, that would open up a free slot in commander.

Now I thought about it and maybe the M1919A6 would be a good choice since it's ammo based and could be used by all of your infantry units, plus it fits the theme of "Mechanized Infantry".

That or Riflemen Field Defenses, altho that would go against the theme of a mobile and aggressive force.

And lastly, the E8 replacing the 76mm Sherman because of again, most of the remarks here being that the 76 is surely a unique vehicle but for now doesn't fit in the current USF composition. Maybe it could be put in the new commander coming in December if a unique way of approaching it is found.

IMO whatever the new OKW commander is going to be, it's going to need proper Panzershreck infantry.

Yep, that's why I included a Panzerjaeger squad in the Panzerjaeger doctrine.

Sadly I suppose AT Hetzers for OKW will never happen so I imagine something like my idea but with a JT instead.
