Thread: OKW underperforming?22 Oct 2018, 18:26 PM I already suggested an MG34 upgrade replace the Volks StGs but I am not sure if that would improve the situation instead of worsening it since I haven't tested out my idea yet. However that would open up the potential of the Obers losing their MG34 but gaining a Panzerschreck, or 2, similar to the Panzergrenadiers since I think the OKW is currently lacking in the AT department because while the raketen is available right from the get go, it's largely underperforming. Of course if the Obers gain the Panzerschreck(s) then they would need to be moved down in terms of tech and would overlap with the Sturmpioneers. So the only question is what to do with the Sturms then, do they remain only with their minesweeper upgrade or do they get something extra? I think that un-burdening them of being the OKW's AT infantry is an option but then again so is just giving them a flamethrower as well or something. Maybe a demolition specialist upgrade? I don't know really, just throwing ideas out there. In: COH2 Balance

Not really worth the cost IMO. It could be priced so the cost would be compensated. I don't get it why you don't removed the MGs of Sdkfz 251 instead and made them an upgrade. The two commanders could simply get something else, like mortar verhicle instead of 250+Gren and smoke instead of 250+Pnzgren. I would make the Sdkfz. 250 mortar only. Edit: And for German-Infantry-Commander give M24 shock-grenades instead of Sdkfz. 250. Something that AEgion did with the 250 is pretty interesting to me. He was actually able to make it so you could actually garrison a mortar squad in the 250 which can then fire out of instead of being only transported. This opens up the potential of replacing all 250/7s that come by default with regular 250s which could be used for that, as in as mortars, or upgraded to get the 250/1 Infantry Halftrack armed with an MG42 and being able to reinforce. So you'd get a versatile unit with an upgrade that would open up a lot of playstyle options for other doctrines as well, besides providing your mortars with some mobile protection as well. I mean it could be made so the garrisoned mortar within the 250 receives the same abilities as the current 250/7, similar to what Planet Smasher has done with his Artillery Pit mod where the 3-inch mortar team he made gets a White Phosphorus ability when they're garrisoned in the Artillery Pit. The Granatwerfer 42 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granatwerfer_42) The Soviet HM-38 model could be used just reskinned and renamed since it was basically identical. I mean it's basically the same as the M42 and Pak 36, nobody can really tell the difference unless it's really up close. In: Lobby

Maybe it could replace the KV-2 or something? It's also in need of a fix in my opinion, the animations on it are still sort of glitchy but I'm not sure if it's the gun itself or the actions. KV-8 based on KV-1, which we have in the game 2. KV-8S based on KV-1S(this one pictured on your image). It means new hull, turret and new flamethrower as well (ATO-42 instead of ATO-41). IMO 45-mm gun should remain as functional. Tank has it, and there is no reason to switch it off. I still fail to understand, why it can't shoot with all weapons together. This gun is not OP for sure, and it won't make KV-8 into second Crocodile. Said on wikipedia that there was an "M" version equipped with 2 flamethrowers, I know it's not the best source to cite but I'm a bit lazy to go into further search on it. Try to avoid ideas that sound super cool in theory, but have no real use in practice. Not everything has to be meta/top tier/competitively viable, but there should at least be a case or situation where the player feels compelled to get this unit. (Seriously, you don't realize how many ideas sounded great until someone rightfully threw out the word "overlap") Avoid unnecessarily complex changes. We all know how coh2 plays and feels, so suggestions should stay along the lines of this feel. We ALSO know how little clarity coh2 has behind its mechanics and weapons, try not to reduce the already small amount of clarity and uniformity coh2 has behind its systems (for example, panzerfausts and AT nades are snares). Thank you to all of you who contribute your ideas, especially those of you who do so with open minds. As a member of this community, I appreciate it when there are earnest attempts to better the game. Excuse me for derailing here a bit but I just wanted to know some opinions outside of Andy's vague explanation about not implementing Planet Smasher's Artillery Pit into the game to fix the final faulty link the British Army. It's unique, it's practical and balanced and like I said, it's 3 birds with one stone really in it's execution. I'm just wondering why not fix the British fully instead of only touching 50% of the issue that's all, I mean sure it won't make the Brits this super duper Army that everyone will start choosing all of the sudden but at least it will make them more viable and I'm sure that at least a test would prove that. Edit: I also wanted to say that it feels alright with how the British are designed as well and doesn't drag off from the core feeling of CoH2 really. In: COH2 Balance
