I'm all for taking away the supression on the ISG and packs if that's what you want. But I'm not for the mg-34. You already have the kubel, ISG (currently) and flack bases. Also why would you not go a commander without the mg34? I know that's the point of this thread, but the best commanders (even with a mg34 taken out) have some of the best abilities. But coh2chart.com doesn't mean crap. (not to be that guy) but I've consistently floated the top 100 ranking in 3 vs 3 even when allies on coh2chart had our win percentage down in the dirt with OKW at 75% win rate.
The one thing I have dramatically noticed is that the amount of shit axis players playing recently. A lot of people moved over to play brits and the new USF commander as of late. So it's no surprise to me that the win rate is going down. Also if you look at the team games, it's actually quite equal. And also COh2chart also shows that 4 vs 4 is the most played game mode. but overall coh2chart doesn't mean much...it doesn't take into account the skew if there's simply better players on either team,
Edit: I would however be okay with giving the OKW a mg34 and make it like allied light scout cars (maybe even allow transport) if the kubel didn't have the suppression ability. Otherwising having both I can see it right now...Mg34 in the back, kubel preventing flanking, AT in the back...making a pretty hard wall to counter in the very beginning in the first few minutes...
coh2chart definitely mean something on 1vs1 and 2vs2, because it shows top 150 ladder player's win rates.
Player numbers don't matter on those modes. Larger modes balance? Well.... I think smaller modes needs to be balanced first for the larger e-sport fan base, but that's just my opinion.
I didn't say mg34 and kubel both needs suppresion. JohnnyB suggested great change and I totally agree it.
Go check page 6 on this topic for checking his opinion. |
You have forward bases, ISG and a shit ton of flak.
How can you complain about not having suppression? SU hardly has any AT infantry but no complaints from them.
Do read whole discussion above, not just poking the wrong stuff at my reply heading to a certain person, out of blue. |

ISG and pack's suppresion are both bullshit stuff. Everybody wished they were gone, but Relic decided not to do that and added a little more micro to it. We should keep convince Relic it was not good change.
It seems you don't know why this topic even emerged. Above all, this faction has shown severely lower win-rate than others in 1vs1. http://coh2chart.com/ Check it. This is not a cons and pros joke. If you feel that's fine, you're far away from the reality deluding yourself. |
Signed.
With a side note though: it won't be good for OKW to have access on 2 supression platforms (one mobile, one static). Imagine for instance what will happen if we simply switch between kubel and mg34.
Mg34, being a stock unit, will be built almost every game. Chosing one doctrine with kubel, that would give you in eraly game 2 suppression platforms - one static, one mobile - that could give you a to important advantage.
Of course I am aware that you can do this today too, if choosing an MG34 doctrine, but the phenomenon will be so much spread if we make mg34 non doctrinal and just switch the 2 units between them.
So my side note is in fact: make Mg34 a stock unit - in hq or med truck (most appropriate in hq), make kuble doctrinal in luftwaffe and fortifications, BUT remove supression from kubel, give it ability to decap and cap territory and increase its DPS with a small margin to make it still viable in early infantry confrontations.
I think that making MG34 a stock unit would be the safest way to change OKW because this way we won't have to change volks AI performance.
+1
Nice and interesting way to change it. Totally agree on everything you said. |
You have kubel, ISG, and Flack. You have the best combined suppression in the game in my book. Just works in another way.
People saying the mg34 is crap never used the USF 50 that get's instant murdered by a rifle grenade because of the grouping of models.
Or the Russian version where if it get's flame naded, all the models flip out trying to play hot potato picking up the MG until they die.
Cry more please.
It's you that crying for defending Allies.
Plenty of people explained above why kubel doesn't replace ordinary MG's position.
Seriously, can you say that USF and Soviet do not need MG because they have light vehicle suppression platform?
USF even have pack howie, yet they have 50cal.
If you talk about flame nade and rifle nade, it's same on Axis MG teams.
Try to check conditions on each factions before you say other people crying. |
First post here. OKW needs help, but Flamethrowers on Volksgrenadiers is a terrible idea. So was Flamethrowers on Riflemen.
The thing is, that terrible idea of giving flamethrowers to riflemen won't get fixed.
And this new OKW commander... |
You must be new. There's been plenty of worse ones.
LoL, I've bought every commander DLC before UKF and tried it.
I admit there are other unviable commanders.
Then let me put it this way. One of the worst commanders = The same category of unused commanders.
Anyway, if this doctrine do not get any change, it will be extinct in no time. |
The real question is how does the flame hetzer compare to the Wasp, halftrack or KV8 now that incendiary damage across the board was reduced.
In the broadcast, Lelic said ther're all same. Of course, german flame halftrack has double flamer, so DPSx2.
Flammpanzer is a more armored version of WASP. |
Turns out to be a trash commander.
No one in my community (outside of coh2.org) said this new OKW commander is good.
Don't waste your money guys. This is the worst commander DLC ever sold.
By the way the pershing commander is a lot better. Worth buying. |
Considering it has 2400 more HP than a regular Tiger in addition to starting at vet 3, maybe it actually is intended?
Its hp is 1280. Ace is not a 2400HP monster.
Edit: What I wrote is wrong. You're telling Ace is 3480 HP? |
