Note it's generally not by kills, but by damage done. Mortars can end up killing only 1-2 models but be Veterancy 2-3 because they've AOEed everyone in a squad. Furthermore, tanks generally get considerably less experience for killing infantry as their requirements are set very high compared to infantry and they shoot as less expensive stuff. SturmsTigers need to hit things like vehicle for that massive spike in veterancy gain while now the Brummbar vets up very well with the recent changes.
Also, I'm pretty sure there's some sort of cap for how much veterancy can be gained at once by at least kills, right? That would of course really hamper the ST's vet gain since they can only gain vet from a bunch of kills at once. |
It drives me nuts how the same gun performs differently on different units. I makes it hard to make judgements on how it should perform to anyone that doesn't know the stats.
The PTRS should perform exactly the same with accuracy being the difference.
Actually, that is the only difference between them. Of course, 0.1 far accuracy and 0.21 close-accuracy is a pretty big difference in practice against infantry. |
And then, we have penals and cons.
A year ago I would have responded to this with a , but it's actually working now. Needless to say, I wouldn't have believed that if you told me. |
No, the MG 42 is not the best MG in the game anymore. The Vickers outclasses it in every aspect, except for the veterancy ability of the MG 42.
Which is not correct because the 42 suppresses faster. |
What the heck is CQC? Conqueror gun carriage? Command & Conquer? What does it stand for???
Close-Quarters Combat.
If you see someone say CQB, that's the same except the last word's Battle. |
People are talking about how absurd the new factions' power creep has gotten. So people want to nerf the new 'better' factions to make them in line with the 'outdated' EFA (Wehrmacht especially). I'm saying relic would more likely buff Wehrmacht than nerf USF, UKF, and OKW altogether.
What would be easier:
buffing 3 Wehrmacht infantry units(grens/pios/pzgrens) and 2-3 tanks(pzIV/panther/tiger)
or nerfing UKF's sapper blobs, stock Tigers, cost-efficient steam rollers...
OKW's stock god unit, free flaks, super glue repairs...
and USF's terminator riflemen with their double LMGs and -45% received accuracy, etc...
?
The issue here is Ostheer's wipe-prone, underperforming infantry and it's subpar late game. Soviets back then crutched on doctrinal stuff and did fine, with the new patch they don't need to rely on doctrines as much and as a result are much stronger. Ostheer can't crutch on sht coz almost all of their arsenal is sucky. Nice that the niche 'underused' units have been buffed(flame ht and brummbar) but they can't really be crutched on (unless made borderline OP), since Ostheer core units still suck weinerschnitzel.
The latter, so we don't demand they mess around with Soviets like a month later. |
Coldfix, but a fix regardless |
Am I the only one who wants old muni-fuel trading OKW back? (Minus the bullshiy op units and vet)
I find that a slightly confusing statement, do you mean essentially just the resource-swapping, or that along with the whole resource penalties and free trucks that arrived automatically? |
Just steal a USF Mortar, OKW is easy mode once you have one.
Pro strats - STEAL THAT USF MORTAR NOW
YES, EVEN IF YOU'RE A NON-USF ALLIES PLAYER |
I personally would take a significant reduction in being one-shot over any sort of other Grens buffs and thereby would consider improving their formation to be more important than anything. Otherwise, just nerf the power creep of Xpac squads instead.
Still pretty sure the Ostwind would be fine (though probably still require a cost reduction) if it just had the controls to deal with the terrible moving accuracy. Give it hold fire and reload buttons, and now it can use its mobility and hit stuff reliably while not making it a squadwipe-chaser (which I suppose is the reason why Centaur is slow as hell while being killy as hell). |
