What about ability that will works like "Radio net" from sherman? More squads of cons more stronger effect will be (just thinking about limit of squads when effect not will be grow anymore). From one side this will do cons effective only in masses and useless one by one (like Relic want to see cons - masses infantry), from other side such blob will be vulnerable to MG, rocket artillery and will be weaker when one squad of blob retreating.
First time I've ever seen a pro-blob post lol |

I can't tell you how many times I've had 3-6 T34/76's go on one of these "suicide rushes" and take out Tigers, King Tigers, or even a small group of panthers with minimal losses. The other week I lost 2 Panthers (one vet 2, one Vet 1) to only four T34/76's due to me being surprised and the other player's outstanding micro. The sacrificial lamb would lead the attack and get behind my tanks preventing them from backing up with the others went to both sides of the panthers. I didn't even destroy a single one. One was an inch from death and another was severely damaged but both were able to retreat and repair.
Yes, that is exactly what I said in my post: T34/76s can only ever get kills in suicidal flanking attacks. Thanks for reinforcing my point i guess? |
Hmmm. I seem to have worded my firs post badly, sorry for that. The purpose of my post was simply pointing out a possible change to it in order to remove its vet feeder trait. It was not my intention to buff or nerf it somehow.
Although, the utility and main gun buffs would be nice for the long underrated tank. I mean, not that I never see it in play, but... I never see it in play... at least, not in high ranking games (includes the streams and tourneys that I regularly watch on Twitch). |
Wtf? It's a damn 85mm. It can actually penetrate something. It also has more survivability than a 76 because of its improved armor(health?). And thanks to those two things, an 85 can reliably slug it out with other tanks while a 76 has no hope of doing so. The T34/85 is an actual useful medium tank, equivalent to a Cromwell or an Easy Eight. And the 85 does not need to flank to win its tank battles (obviously unless it's vs German heavies, in case which case EVERY Allied tank needs to flank to get any fighting chance whatsoever)
The T-34/76 is way more cost efficient
"cost efficient"? T34/76? Really? It cant pen shit, it cant kill anything unless it goes on a suicide flanking run, and (like the others have said) it actually has worse anti-inf than an 85. Hell the T34/76 is even more useless now because of the T70, formerly a frail infantry-wipe-machine, now turned into a normal light tank. Which means the T70 is now pretty much (an only slightly worse) T34/76 that you can get way earlier (and cheaper). |
Just to bring an end to this insufferable OT discussion about stabilisation: None of the systems used in WWII allowed any tank to fire on the move. Not the Sherman's gyro-stabilisation, not the Panther's suspension. Heck, that technology didn't even exist in the 60s - the Leopard 1 featured one of the most advanced stabilisation systems at its time, and it still couldn't fire on the move and hope to hit anything.
The only thing these systems allowed were for the gunner to pick up and identify targets on the move, severely reducing the time needed between sighting a target, stopping, aiming at it, and firing. Rough targeting could be done while moving, reducing the time standing still and thus severely decreasing the chance of being hit at longer ranges.
The Panther's suspension on the other hand didn't provide such benefits at all - if the tank drove over a small bump, it helped. But certainly not enough to allow any kind of effective targeting and firing on the move, especially not off-road!
Interesting... and informative, +1.
The tiger I believe was an exception due to slow speed, suspension, and sheer size would created a smooth enough ride to fire relatively well on the move.
Incoming Tiger OTM accuracy buff? |
Petition to change to more armor less health? I feel like Comet will be less attractive to get, but I think hammer would still get picked a lot mor than anvil because Churchill is just a slow, fat vet feeder. |
The core problem is that ost t4 is a waste of resources and thus everything in that tier is overpriced. OKW's is more or less fine considering the (currently superior) Comet is gonna be brought down to its level.
Just pls, turn panther into an actual "tank hunter" with 75% otm accuracy so it's actually worth building t4 for something. OST already has an anti-everything heavy tank, it would be good for panther to be its own thing, a tank hunter, but right now it can't hunt worth sh**.
also, ironic how German tank crews who were supposed to have better experience and equipment(sights) have worse on the move accuracy than allied crews. |
. . .
Very convincing argument. but I think maybe Brit lategame being hammered down too much? seems to be the thing with Relic Balancing™, overnerfs and overbuffs. then again, with the amount of patches being very few due to relic's focus on other games, not like they can do a lot of patches with incremental changes hm? :/ |
Soviets are meant to have meh stock units, meaning they have to be reliant on doctrines, so it's fine right?
Oh wait... LUL M4Cs LUL Shocks LUL KV1 LUL doucheka LUL baby AT gun and now... LUL guards. RIP soviet.
I say, buff the damn soviet commanders(and not just the units), let soviet keep its flavor of being reliant on commanders. Now I'm not against buffing cons and t34 (I'd like it a lot, t34 has been ignored for too long), I am just showing an alternative to maybe potentially ruining yet more units *cough* penals *cough*. |
