i was not responding to u tho ???
Oooops...... |
are u for real ? are u saying that t 70 come at the same time as ostwind ? did u gift 70 fu to ur opponent ? already by getting to phase 2 without building any other tier is 140 fuel to get to t 70 u need around 100 fuel depending on what tier u chose,
Well. That's completely not what I meant. The author of the post suggested that ostwind wipes infantry most of all units. I gave examples of allied units which wipe like crazy. For 4 man aquads t70 is highly dangerous and can really wipe them. That's what I meant. |
Ostwind wipe out inf faster than anything in the game now (maybe slower than a vet2 pershing)
Don't forget centaur he sherman and, vs 4 mans squads, t70 |
If Bazookas on RM or even RE were worth the munitions maybe this would be a valid point. For an AT weapon, however, they are exceedingly bad at tackling tanks, due to both low damage (deflection damage as well) and low penetration. On the topic of accuracy, they have worse accuracy as well. So instead you will have a unit which is useless versus both infantry and armored vehicles. For this reason, even dumping 100mun of bazookas on a 200mp RE squad is a questionable decision. Mun better spent AT-wise on mines (even the RE 80dmg stun ones) or AP ammo for the AT gun / Jackson, which must instead shoulder the AT work of the faction. For this reason most of the time you see bazookas it's the retarded LT zook upgrade, and only because it is the only AT the LT tech can get at all.
Only elite bazookas are in any way useful at the armor stage, and mostly only on recon support paratroopers, since they get to cloak and lay mines as well. Triple zook rangers can be good if you have 150 munitions to dump, I suppose. At that stage they can actually approach or possibly exceed Panzershreck effectiveness, at the cost of all AI power, of course.
And as for the AI / AT trade, I would have the single Shrek upgrade would still lock out G43s, obviously. So if you want better AI, you'd need another Pfusilier squad, just like now. The fact the AT fusiliers can keep an extra fusilier kar is far better than them having double shreks lol.
Can't agree with You on echelons and bazookas. They are great. Don't expect them to deal most damage. With Usf you will have an at gun/guns, some tank/tanks plus various squads with bazookas. All of this will deter vehicles and if all these units focus on a tank this 'silly'exhrlon bazooka will be the shot that will finish off a tank. The answer is density of at fire, not one squad. |
|
That's actually the best and fastest way to see how to counter a unit you struggle against.
I love You Always so helpful But I agree 100% However, I'd also suggest the same to allied fanboys/fangirls/fanpersons. |
Penals need time to do damage with the ptrs as well. Its not instant alpha damage afteral.
Meaning they will take more fire in the process.
Again without the satchel they are the easiest to push around.
It'a all true. My feeling is still that ost should get satchels with the advent of really heavy allied tanks so the game is even more balanced. |
That's also why I did not buy them. But I have not played OST very much since the patch, so maybe they're better now? I just feel that in most cases I'm better off with a PaK that costs the same MP, saves mun and has better AT although at the cost of mobility.
Well, the infantry based AT for USF and UKF is better in my opinion since they can put it on cheap engineer squads. Easier to reinforce and it actually buffs their combat value quite a lot.
Axis only have Panzerfüsiliere as a comparable unit. They're great with Panzerschrecks, but doctrinal. Sturmpios are also too expensive for AT in my eyes.
Agreed 100% |
Well, there is your problem then.
I'm afraid I don't think it is my problem only. Give stug range of a tank destroyer and maybe. They buffed it a bit, true. Still it's an uphill battle for ost. I'll try playing UK for a while. But I felt almost stupid how powerful those units are. |
Brits are strong, but (in my opinion) that's due to the IS and the bolster. I'd like to see the IS be similar to the grenadiers with different cover mechanics. Probably slightly stronger since they are more expensive and lack utility. Maybe buff their weapons, remove the bolster or just make the bolster work on the engineers (with reduced price as compensation). Then make the Bren be an MG42 cost- and stat-wise and have IS only have one weapon slot. Everything in a sensible way, but I always liked the idea that Brits actually play more like Ostheer, so the Axis face a different tactic than the "total offensive" of USF and SOV. Just like OKW plays more similar to the other two Allied factions than Ostheer.
But that would be another thread.
Maybe we can let this topic now die in piece, I think most of the arguments have been discussed.
Agreed with the above. But Brits are crazy. Just played a game with them. It's ostheer on steroids with everything. Playing them I still can't figure out why grens can't build sandbags. And all tanks I find imcredibly powerful. They are just crazy |
