Which you don't in CoH2. You dont need 50k+ ingame players at all times to be an "alive" game lol. A game is dead on the other hand when almost nobody plays it anymore so queue times or the time to find a full custom lobby are ridiculous because of this Allow me to reiterate: a game is considered "alive" if and only if the following two criteria are met: Waiting times, as you have said, are low. The matches that occur within that matchmaking process are as fair as possible. Let's say the first criterion stands (which it does not but whatever). The second criterion is so out of reach for COH2, that it's like a dream. For further info, check out my other threads and Rosbone's. Every match that is produced by COH2's matchmaker would be consider an outlier by all the other major games' matchmakers. In: COH2 Gameplay

CoH2 playerbase is stable in the high 4-digits since many years I did not doubt the validity of his claims. However, calling a game with max 7k people "alive" is a Goebbelian stretch for sure. We are talking about 2022 though, not 2011. The market has changed rapidly. I am certain COHO would be way more successful today than it was then. In: COH2 Gameplay

Man of War 2: Arena is an attempt at FTP which failed because the FTP mechanics are not suitable for RTS. And the old Man of War 2 still has stable online. Stop fixing what isn't broken. If you do not consider the current abysmal playerbase for COH2 a problem, then with all due respect I cannot discuss this further with you. In: COH2 Gameplay

Luckily we don't have any here on coh2.org It's weird how in in thousands of hours played I've seen a handful of people with names such as 'Patton, Churchill' etc. Yet most team game seems to have someone with an iteration of 'SS_Wiking_6gorillion, DesertF0x, Fuhrer'. Most of the time it's utterly harmless. But the cringe is still there, it never truly goes away Oh no.... In: COH2 Gameplay
