IMO, the thing that makes Penals so bullshit is the fact that they can upgrade flamers without losing their long-range DPS. Basically, that's Rifle Company v2.0. I had pointed out this issue from the time it was only in the mod (along with US mortar issue...), only to end up with a long debate about how Penal would be fine... Infantry units should not dominate at all ranges. Relic should simply readopt the weapon profiles and avoid mixing weapon that do not work together. It is actually refreshing seeing people that did not agree changing their mind (not referring o anyone particular)... In: COH2 Balance

However, if you bring the Brumbar and the Stug together on the same tier, nobody will ever build the other tier; no matter what the other tier contains. Stug and Su-76 are over performing while Ostwind is under performing. Stug should be toned down while Ostwind should have its minimum range removed and/or its moving accuracy improved and/or add suppression to its pintal mg. After swamping the units they should be rebalanced. In: COH2 Balance

A linear tech through the entire tech tree is near impossible in any game mode, expect the longest 4v4 games. Usually though you get 3 levels of tech and then rely on call ins. There is a another solution swap Brumbar with Ostwind. Both units become more attractive and t2 to T4 becomes easier... The problem with Wer T4 is that it has very expensive very specialized units so you are either left without AI or AT. Allowing cheap ostwind for AI and expensive Panther for AT should work... The vast majority of the time (99.9% of the time*), those modifiers listed in the COH.ORG Vet guide only apply to the main gun. ... This assumption is completely wrong. For low-accuracy guns (< 10%), accuracy makes absolutely no difference vs infantry. It's only scatter that matters. That rather depends if the accuracy buff work for main gun or mgs only...+30 accuracy on mg is notable... In: COH2 Balance

On the other hand they are CP 2 that make them a bit pointless. Boys should probably be a weapon upgrade (exclusive to all other IS upgrades) for IS and not a call in unit... In: COH2 Gameplay
