Modders want feedback from players, they don't have to provide replays AND mod the game, AND get acknowledgement from the community, AND defend their balance changes in lengthy discussions, with replies that contain more mention of the term "lol" than any logic or sense. Stop lazying and pointing fingers at others, and get some games and replays going. If you disagree with a change, just show off in a game why this is the case. Plenty of lobbies out there, if not, ask in the shoutbox.

1. They are not modders as others, they are in charge of the future of this game, that´s why other modders don´t get same feedback that those guys...you should know this.
2. I´m not arguing about wrong changes, but wrong behaviour of Mr. Smith. His last reply to those guys is a great example of this.

Alright. So, I expect to see a replay from you two where Major was teched (before either M10 or a Bulldozer is fielded, btw), Bulldozer hit vet2, and that the Bulldozer was actually worth the manpower and fuel needed to field it (which is equal to the Brummbar, by the way).
Even the shittiest tanks in the game can become amazing if you could get them by completely skipping teching costs and getting 2 free squads in the process.
Can you imagine tech-free Anvil Churchills for instance? Those would break the game.

I actually played a few 2v2s against Miragefla and he managed to get a kubel to vet 5 then 4 respectively. It's not that difficult given it shares veterancy now and can function well as a scout with its large LoS and camo ability.
Would love to see those replays. Do you have them? could you upload to this site? really interesting in those vet4-vet5 kubels..... |
Maybe Kubel isn't the best choice for an early unit. However, I would disagree on the scaling part.
Kubel Vet4 is pretty sweet. It gets suppression that you can use in conjunction with camouflage for nice ambushes. You get to Vet4 a lot faster. At Vet2, the Kubel also gets self-repair, which means you no longer have to allocate engineers to repair it.
yeah, who has no seen vet4 kubels in every game since the mod was released......
good luck keeping alive your kubel or your m-20 until late game while vetting it up, and good luck again to use them without getting oneshooted by tanks, mines, atguns, etc....
Could be great if mod team provide us some replays so we can learn how to get in a so easy way vet4 kubels and get a good use of them in the late game (same for m-20, that as you said in other post, scales really well to late game and is really usefull in that phase of the game).

USF mortar still sucks? It was freaking op for months and now it just has terrible range. Its accuracy, rate of fire and its set up and pack up time are still great. The 50 call is a very good mg and better than the maxim and the mg34. It also rapes light vehicles. It just doesn't work well vs ISG or mortar spam..
Yeah but you forget that Brit teching is the cheapest in the game and the fastest too. Going an AEC isn't really that much of an intensive side tech to begin with.
yep, USF mortar sucks compared to OST mortar. In my opinion at least, and thus, I recrew every OST mortar I find in the ground when facing OST enemy, but I never recrew a USF mortar when I find a dropped one when figthing USF enemy.
yeah, brit teching is cheapest, but fielding a 222 you spend less fuel than fielding a AEC (in addition, AEC is not what brit player want to field more of the time) so you can get an easy advantage of it forcing brit player to delay his medium armor by forcing them to side tech and get an AEC spending more fuel that you has spent fielding your 222.... |
Hm so the reason riflemen are so powerful is because they are the mainline infantry and they have to cap? All infantry has to cap lol and as far as I know, grens still suck conpared to rifles and tommies..
Tommies are complete bullshit, we all know it. Can't exploit their non existent snare when the AEC shows up at roughly the same time as the 222 and the cromwell always shows up faster than the p4 in most scenarios..
USF mortar still sucks compared to ost one, usf machine gun sill sucks compared to MG-42...you know, Ball rolls both ways my friend.
Aditionally, if by fielding a 222 you force the brit player to side tech and get a AEC, you already got a great advantage of it....and brit player has to get the AEC as its mainline infantry lacks snare.... |
It is my only argument, and if that's so poor you suggest nerfing it or buffing usf mortar to ostheers again? Is that what you try to tell me ? (Despite the fact that RE gets a 5th man thru vet, royals and infantry sections gets 5th via tech. Ok Russian engineers are 4 man but there is only 1 on the field while there are about 3 squads of mainline infantry with 6 models each for the Russians. .
I only try to tell you that pointing this argument does not offer any help to this discussion,due to being wrong inmho as there are plenty of 4 man squads in the allied roster in the early-mid game, so if there are no others arguments, maybe it is better to post nothing that post something that is wrong.
and yes, I know some of those units can get a 5th man, but at the time you can get that 5th model, the advantage that OST mortar offers has already been enjoyed by OST player...We have to look at the whole picture....
and lastly, just to clarify my opinion so you don´t waste a new post saying I want to buff USF mortar or nerf OST mortar --> NO, I not asking for changes in those units at this moment.
... 2 man Soviet Sniper Team, which dies to a single mortar round even at full HP, unlike Ost one...
