Thread: A small unit A.I issue that should be fixed 20 Oct 2014, 15:30 PM Just a noob here, but...if I got right what your issue is (my english is not so good)...then, you have to know that you can handle your squads in two differents ways: 1. select your squad, press "A" key, left-click on the map (or minimap)....then your squad will travel to that position in the map that you pointed, but they will stop and fight at max range each time your squad find a enemy in their way....once, the enemy have retreated or is death, yours guys will continue travelling to that point where you left-clicked. 2. select your squad, click with right button on any place in the map, then your squad won´t stop and engage at max range any enemy that they find, but the squad will continue walking until reach the point where you right-clicked ignoring any enemy troop they find in their path to that point (yeah, they will shoot to the enemy while in range, but they won´t stop walking) Excuse my bad english.....I hope you get what I want to show you. I've seen my riflemen having an equal fight against a poorly microed grenadiere squad at close range. I thought those M1s the Army gave them was supposed to give them the edge in every fight? Doesn't seem so to me. I was capping while in cover at Kholodny Ferma behind that tank at the center VP. He rushed his grenadiere and got onto the other side of tank and actually almost beat my riflemen which never moved. I was also watching them constantly to make sure they don't hop out of cover. Can't say much about paratroopers though. Haven't use them a lot. not 100% sure, but, isn´t there a "Damage increase modificator" for troops fighting while capping??? maybe your rifle was capping and his green squad wasn´t ....that maybe can explain it... anyway, yes, IMHO, rifles should get some better vet bonuses or anything that help them to stay in the fight in late game, coz now USF is forced to use those great but really expensive para squads In: US Forces Strategies

Most of the players just get high APM because they spam the same order 2-5 times which is not necessary. Watch VonIvan's stream some time, his APM is very low but he is still in the top 10. So it's only about what you do and when, not about click spamming. If you average 100-200 APM in CoH2 you are just click spamming unnecessarily Even in intense situations you don't need 200 APM. +1 IMHO is quite more important to know every shorcut and to have a good gridkey than your APM...So you can give orders faster than only using your mouse, but that is all... In SC2 you need so high APM because you are all the time making new drones, new buildings (oooh I need some supply depots because I want to make more rines!!) making new units from your buildings...but in COH2 you only need to focus on actions, positioning, fighthing and so on....so much less APM required here.... I just wanted to mention that I think that it would be more user friendly if links opened in new tabs instead of the current window. Especially on the trending page it is some kind of disturbing that you look at something, close it and then you can't find the page anymore. Same thing on the shoutbox. :-) sure you already know this, but if you click in a link with the mouse wheel, the link will be oppened in a new tab so, in my opinion is quite better as it is right now....because people wanting the link to be opened in the same window will have this, but people wanting the link to be opened in a new window will get this behaviour too just using his mouse wheel. excuse my bad english... Can he just play the WFA maps there too? in skirmish mode, you won´t be able to play in maps that are form original game, but in online you will play in all maps, regardless if it is one from WFA or from Original COH2. About factions, pretty much the same, in skirmish you only will play with and againts WFA factions but in online you can play only with WFA factions but you will face Soviets and OSther too. sorry for my bad english. Tell that to the 75% of the axis players (60 percent points of the 80%) that play against ghosts while only 25% play vs real players... no, but if 75% of players searching for a game, are axis players, only a 33% of axis players searching at a time will find a game, coz only 25% of players searching are allied players... So an axis player has to wait 3x more time than an allied to get a game.... isn´t this a problem for you??? In: COH2 Balance

It just means as Allies you spend less time searching for a match. Surely thats a good thing for Allies? I´ve seen a lot of complaints about 80% axis players searching, 100% axis players searching..but I haven´t seen a lot of complaints about 80% or more allied players....so , do you need more proofs???? when 80% players searching are axis players, is gonna take 4x time to get a game as axis than as allied....so there a is big problem there... yeahhh, sure than maybe there 40000 games running at a time an only 8 guys searching as axis and 2 searching as allies, but that doesn´t matter, becuause the problem is the same, you need 4x time to get a game as axis.... who cares if there are 10.000 players already in a game, if only 8 guys are searching, and all of them are axis players, the problem is the same that if only 2 games are running at that time: Not enough allied players searching, no balance at all in factions of people searching for a game... Really funny those explanations like : "no no, there are 200 players already ingame, and only 10 players searching, so its 52%-48% balance...", ok, 52%-48% but no one is getting games because only axis players searching....is helping that 52%-48% to get a game faster?? Thread: Replay section12 Aug 2014, 09:16 AM hi all, new to this site and new to COH2.... I´m replying here in order to not open a new thread.... Is there any plans to improve replay section??? right now is not so usefull....in my case at least... In the past I played COH1 and I used to get lots of replays from GR site. In that well-known site for all of you, the replay sections have some really usefull filters....You can search for only 1v1 replays, or only USF VS WHER 1v1 replays, or just replays uploaded from a particular user. Here, you never know if you just downloaded a 1v1 rep, or any other kind of game...you don´t know if you are getting a USF VS OKW or any other match... Yeah sometimes you can see this info in the uploader´s comments but this doesn´t happen every time... Dont get me bad, this site is great, maybe the best one related to COH2, but this section is not as great as it could be. Maybe a simple form to be filled by the uploader, where they have to say the type of game (1v1, 2v2....), the factions involved and the user names could do the trick for us.... Just curiosity, because when I was playing COH1 long time ago, I used to check tons of replays from pro-gamers in order to learn a bit how to play in a more competive way....It could be great if we get something similar here at COH2.org.
