I'd like to see upgrades like BAR and LGM's to have more of a downside.
Riflemen with BAR's will still rek at close range, while the upgrade is to get more lethal at long range.
Make upgrades things to really think about, instead of nobraining equipping all your riflemen with BAR's and Zookes. Want to upgrade your rifleman with BAR's? Well they will now suck at close range. Upgrade with bazooka's? Your units will now become more slow and bad against other infantry.
That would make the game interesting because you must think about certain choices. Now upgrades like Bars, zooka's, shrecks on volks and LMG's on grens are pure nobrainers, talking about teamgames.

Yeap, back in the day using a BAR for rifles had a huge downside, fast m3 or medium armor. U saw BAR u skipped t3 to go for puma or two, because upgrading to bar cost alot of fuel to upgrade. Coh2 became a blob versus blob. |
Hey we bitching about squad wipes up in here? Did any body mention the Walking Stuka yet? Good range, surviveability, building AND support weapon wipe. Might as well address them all, ya know?
Well, it is kinda weird that building are so easy to destroy with stuka, survivability? What, they have smoke or blitz option that i don't know about?
They don't have super long range and cooldown is somewhat long (not saying that's a bad thing) so it's ok that they need something anti-armor to kill them fast.
But the raw power of stuka is not that strong, saw couple of times that even one model survived stuka attack and that one man was between two rockets that hit the ground
IMHO unit is very good, but the it is very expensive. And it will delay a panther, and especially if ur saving for King tiger/jagdtiger |
Maybe it is a learn to play problem, but I absolutely hate playing against the OKW early game. I play Soviets, and their units are often very fragile. The Sturmpio squads that OKW have just absolutely wreck SOviet infantry early game. It feels like if you lose the first engagement, the game is over.
In CoH2 comeback is possible if u lost every single unit on field even on mid game. Talking about 2v2 here.
It is also extremely frustrating to play against high-damage units such as Panzerfusiliers and Jaegers, who can wreck you from faraway.
To be honest that two units are doctorinal, u probably meant Obersoldaten, panzerfusiliers are good after they god 90 muni upgrade, but on mid/close range. Not very effective at long range even with upgrade. |
Dont see a problem with volks, any decent buff will make this unit OP. But kubel is good for small survival buff, and AA HT needs to get a new gunner, this one is probably blind. |

What is more, it wasn't even half as frequently patched as CoH2 is, which means they took LESS care of it then they do with coh2.
Nope, patching was harder to do back in vCoh days becaus they didn't have Steam. Now it is alot easier to bring patch to the people with Steam than with that horrible downloader that relic or THQ used. |
Honestly, i cant even understand why you are defending this. It is unfair. And by the way, it appears you barely played any games. You played 2 games with Allies total. And you are trying to tell me that its fine?
Nope, not defending it. I said my experience and that i won't make that tactic again, because there is no need for additional risk.
Then i said that i played against it, didn't saw big problem and then i was interested how is possible that someone used that truck that long at your cutoff. I even said that it is annoying/stupid to use that ability.
I didnt play alot of allies, but im sure that there is more than 2 games This profile card is kinda lame.
It is unfair, but the fact that the unit is free doesn't matter.

Did you ever play Allies? Did you ever got your early game screwed up because the truck pushed your units making them unable to shoot while Sturmpios had their fun? Followed up by a Kübel to suppress your shit? And that followed up with Volks? At your cutoff? No?

Well, that is just unacceptable, he even made volks?? Just after the kubel? Omg, so many units to build in his HQ and he build that, just dont say that he danced with a truck in front of your units and he managed to build kubel and then volks and truck was still alive, at your cutoff??

Yeap, you will lose every single match if they use puma and u don't build exactly that strat and that doc. Joke aside, l2p.. it is unit that cost 70 fuel for OKW and is only effective against something with medium armor. Two ZiS are enough, and that doesn't mean that u build two ZiS just to deal with a puma, dont worry u can still use them against tanks and infantry if u use barrage. But u probably trolling by writing that post, that or your going places |
It is an exploit. There cant be any denial about that. If there is, its really beyond me. Its a free "unit" that comes instantly and can be used to destroy cover, crush houses or push infantry so they cant shoot, while Sturmpios wreck them without taking any fire themselves.

Used that "exploit" couple of times just to see what the fuss is about that, wont use it again, no need to use truck to destroy cover, because in some point in game il probably need to use it, and early fight is easy to dictate where to fight. To push units? Not that good, and in case of sturmpios where i need to get on point blank for fight then that truck can be problem to me too. Maybe works with volks, but my volks arrive as 3rd unit, bit to late for taking my truck for pushing. I mean, i see why that is annoying, but the reason its "free unit" does not matter! First Sturm pios are free unit too, are they allowed to fight? U meant that is stupid to use truck for distrubing infantry? |
Sturms also repair the truck SUPER FAST.
What? You used that as argument?
This is good news for allies. That means that the truck doesn't have very much HP. It's not the case that sturms repair super fast that individual truck, because repair works that time/=HP repaired (lets say repair speed is 25hp per sec ). Get it?
