Frankly though they're designed to trade well from range against units like riflemen so indirect fire/tanks/elite infantry like paratroopers or flanking rangers are probably the way to go.

Although strong units, they have a lot of weaknesses when closely examined.
Firstly, they show up by the time your Riflemen are gaining or already have gained veterancy. This means that they are on the backfoot in the beginning of their lifespan. They are also expensive which means that if they are spammed, there most likely won't be that much on the field to begin with prior to their slower arrival.
Secondly, since they arrive later, they are thus unvetted and less lethal against riflemen that have been on the field longer. Since they arrive later, your riflemen can by the time of their arrival already have bars or be equipped with them. Since they arrive later and slower, due to a cooldown and their price, a gradual slow upbuild of bar riflemen will do the trick.
Thirdly, although they are strong units, and in the complete arsenal of OKW units are quite strong, they take quite some time to get to their true potential with 5 levels of veterancy. Since they also arrive later, they are due to be at their most lethal by the time that you will have higher tier units up; tanks and for example scotts. These units can do great harm to them and take no care for their higher veterancy and performance.
Fourthly, they are only a 4 entity squad. Their lower model number means they are very susceptible to getting wiped. Now there are a multitude of ways to getting them wiped, including grenades in the earlier stages of their arrival and lower effectiveness. But the best bet you have are tanks and for example scotts. Like I mentioned in the third point; "Since they also arrive later, they are due to be at their most lethal by the time that you will have higher tier units up". This means that by the time Falls will start to give you the most of headaches, your newer units that are now entering the field will also start to give your opponent and his or her falls respectively a lot of headaches too. A sherman or Scott can easily wipe them.
Fifthly and lastly, as previously mentioned; "Although strong units, they have a lot of weaknesses when closely examined.". This is however also a reality for riflemen and the other units facing the falls. Never fight in a situation where you know you can not comfortably or effectively combat the falls. If this means a retreat or a soft retreat, then so be it. Always make sure the odds are in your favor. If you can't effectively fight them yet, then evade them until the odds are in your favor.
Tnx for advice. But with Riflemen is better to fight in short or long distance? |
In every match versus OKW the enemy makes Fallschirmjäger's doctrine. Then spam this troops and all my troops become ineffective, furthermore, with a couple of AT even my tanks cannot help.
How to deal with them? |
I tested IS vs Granadier with Cheat Mod.
On distance IS will win easily, but in short distance (a sandbag and the troops on the opposite sides) green slightly win.
|
If we exclude all the things like outside influences and the fact that one side reaches cover before the other +assume that cover is equal, than IS defeats grens on all ranges, unless they would get screwed by RNG.
PZgren i believe win against REs, although if they both get Vet1 or the REs get the bolster upgrade it shifts a bit in their favour, though the PZgrens might still have the upper hand
Thanks.
just try it with the cheat mod?
How to do ? Is it a mod on Steam?

How to deal with them? They fire on the base with fire on every retreat.... |
Hi,
i would like to thank you for CELO.
Then I would like to ask if could be possible, in some next release, to display the ladder level and not only the ladder rank.

Mista_s is someone who clearly searches matchmaking and uses the bug to his advantage.
1. Anyone who uses it the first time intentially to win a game is piece of shit straight up. No way around it
2. Knowing something is there and using it to your advantage. Your just bad.
+1 on stat reset, or a ban.
It's one thing to accidently stumble across it. It's another thing to purposely go that commander, then start exploiting the bug to get yourself a win.
I'm sure there are so many out there that did just that to rack up some wins. Keep in mind, for every cheese win, is a loss for someone else who is, when it come down to it, a unsatisfied customer who went through an unenjoyable experience.
I couldn't imagine the amount of players who decided to no longer play this game.
I myself. Would give relic a 1 or no star review, I'm not going to ever recommend any of their products to anyone I know, and I will no longer buy any of their products ever again.
I never seen a company that is so incompetent, unprofessional, and that the playerbase has accepted and expects low standard patches/products.
The fan base clearly knows more about the game then the actual coders/balance devs
For every patch with a new product is an OP unit that takes ages for relic to fix.
They are lucky this is the only game of its type. For now...
Clearly you have never played other competitive RTS before. Relic/Sega (relic only on COH1 was a disaster in patch and balance) release a patch almost every month and a lot of Hotfix. They could be better? of course. But this is an old game that produce very little revenue and cost a lot to maintain servers, coders , QA, community manager ecc ecc ecc. so i give a +10 to this company that continue to support us.
Then if your problem is a couple of bugs and can't wait a week (today they will release the hotfix) the problem is your and not of Relic. |
i was trying to come up with a new build order...i have such a horrible time with OKW..and a double sturmpio start...
that is why i thought i would go a flaming / mine build...
Vs OKW, IMO, the best solution is to go fast to M20 and then MG. So, 2xRE and 3 RF then LT then M20. 1 RE with minesweeper.
With 2 RE you can Cap quite fast and reach 50 Fuel easily. Use RF to keep pressure (move RF together) using M20 in second line. Then Captain---stuart---major--E8 spam!. If you are good in unit preservation (ambulance) you will have a lot of resource to make Fuel caches and build bunkers.
I use Riflemen Company, with flamers RE, flares, and a lot of E8. White phosphorous is very very good to kill enemy static position (like MGs inside houses or Leig). |
