The whole Problem with the tiger ace is, that unlike other heavies it doesn't cost any fuel. So you can dominate the entire game, as long as your enemy can reach 15 cp he can call this beast in and sometimes it actually works. Especially americans have a big problem against this thing. Because of the high range it has it is good even against jacksons. |
I don't think he's an axis fanboy, but he is complaining about the allied players, which call every good unit the axis have op, while every good allied unit is totally ok. The players should just have fun paying the game instead of complaining. I think that's what he wants to say, but it's just speculation. |
I guess he wants to say that allied players should stop complaining since they are strong enough already, and if there is any good axis unit performing good he thinks that allied players call it op, while any allied unit with good efficientcy is ok. There is a lot of sarcasm in this post here, combined with english even worse than mine it's a little bit hard to understand. |
I think they are referring to new maps that were there for a bit, I saw a Lienne Forest Winter, a Ersch Erc... Something, quite a few. Played an AI on Lienne Forest Winter, it was a nice looking map.
Yeah i saw them too, hope they will find their way back into the game. |
One of the less intelligent threads i've ever read. I mean really, Grens turn into Obersoldaten? Have you ever played against Obersoldaten? Ostheer has 4 Infantry units, Grenadiers, Assault Grenadiers, Stormtroopers and PGrens. Two of them are doctrinal and one is too expensive to be spammed as a baseline infantry. So we have only one main infantry left, which is only able to be usefull in the lategame with lmg42, considering that the ostheer is often lacking ammunitions, especially in the early game, lmg42s are a heavy investment. And your proposal is to make the only weapon ostheer has to compete in the lategame far too expensive? Well i think you should gather some facts here and rethink your whole idea of them being op. |
there seems to be 2 new maps from AA
They were already in the game for a while. |
call me greedy, but Major should be 0 pop cost.
even at 3 pop its not worth it.
Its bloody expensive to reinforced 25+25+50, poor performance than RE
I find that reasonable for Lt, Cpt and Mj to be 0 pop cost since they comes from a FU intensive teching and only 1 squad is allowed. Call it a perk for USF.
Only the usf get anything and don't need to build a building to tec. The teching isn't fucking expensive compared to the fact that you get a very good unit for it. The major is a moveable retreat point, i don't know what you want more and it has some very useful abilitys like the fake smoke or the arty and it has a recon overflight, nondoctrinal. So i think it's worth 5 pop, since you can exceed your popcap with usf anyway. |
as it is in beta it is usless. the best unit of soviet army is gone forever
It's not useless at all, it just requires more micro and some sense of knowledge for movement speed. It's still easy to deal high damage to infantry, but it might be harder to oneshot an entire squad. It doesn't shoot on useless targets anymore but on the targets you actually want it to shoot, this might be a buff for it. Sure, it's nearly impossible for any mediocre player to hit a moving tank but now it has a defined role which is a good thing. |
Infantry squads have paper for armor, that's what is implied in INFANTRY!
^Not a real argument, but whatever.
THe germans have plenty of options for wiping infantry. In fact, the germans have 3 nondoctrinal units to do so. The Brummbar has the exact same AOE value as the ISU, and it has a vet artillery strike. Then there is the Panzerwerfer, which fires 12 rockets at a single position from far range, and is usually either a wipe or heavy damage to any infantry in the area. Finally, there is the Sturmtiger, which can instawipe very large concentrations, shoot through buildings, and even cripple/ instagib vehicles. Germans have plenty of options, they just usually don't bother to use them in most games because they prefer to use Tigers.
EDIT: sorry, forgot to respond to everything: The Stuka can wipe squads with a single rocket, which is not hard to hit because it is deadly accurate.
1. The Brummbaer has a smaller aoe value than the isu and it's far more inaccurate, and at least you are able to retreat from this thing instead of getting oneshotted on retreat.
2.The Panzerwerfer is a bad joke if you compare it to the katy, on max range it's just bad and can't hit anything, the ae of it's rockets is very bad too. Gets better on closer ranges though.
3. The Sturmtiger can wipe infantry true, but normally you are able to retreat your squads from it. And it doesn't shoot out of the fog of war and it's hard to hit vehicles with it, it seems you haven't played for a few patches to me.
And the most stuff you are calling here "oneshot" machines are easy avoidable so it's more a ltp issue.
Now, back to the isu, it's not overnerfed, it's very strong vs infantry, even though i would have liked a button for HE and AP more than this micro intensive unit. Against any fast moving target it's rather bad. |
So in order to combat tanks, USF pays the fuel, pays the manpower, AND pays a muntions tax in order to compete with the rest that doesnt need muni to be effective? Now that is some weak AT. Its much better off to pay for 2 planes with powerful rockets that penetrate the KT great and deal loads of damage instead of flimsy 57mm at guns that bounce and get aten alive if they use AP rounds because Axis tanks can blitz to freedom and drive out of the arc (and KT has so much armor that it is still perfectly safe if it drives up to AP shooting 57 mm's since the KT will still bounce those and one shot the AT gun) and the Jackson gets outrun by blitzing king tigers so good luck keeping your only AT alive. If you encounter bazookas, then the obersoldaten will force them back. USF AT is made of paper to counter Titanium.
Soviet AT is better. Now that is a compliment.
USF will have even more trouble surviving with a P47 nerf without proper adjustments to their AT, especially when they have to pay a massive embargo fee for whatever reason to get anything tougher than aluminum shells.
Well i have seen enough americans win without the "skillplane". And the thing you are complaining about is what the devs call assymetrical balance. The factions can't be equal and to make up for the strong usf early and mid game they have some weaknesses in the late game. Trust me if the beta get's life the yolo bar blobs will come back and then you can play your americans again with or without the skillplane. |
