I don't think we can say much about it right now and there's no need for specualtions about it. We'll find out how it will be at the release. Until then let's just be happy with the good and interesting stuff we have right now. |

How do you vet something that needs to do damage to do so but actually deosn't do any damage?
That wouldn't be that bad if the mg would surpress something, but it doesn't, right now it's just a thing that doesn't surpress,doesn't do any damage and the only reason to justify that is because it's cheap. Ok, just increase it's cost to 240 and increase it's damage as well as it's surpression.

thats good allies finally get weapons that can punch some REAL nasty holes in the axis more-bang-for-their-buck tanks. up until now axis have been hogging and hoarding all of the best AT, armor and infantry in-game. having the brits now will hopefully level the playing field
For real now, have you ever heard of something called ISU 152 or IS-2? Did you ever use the AP-rounds on the Jackson or is all you do t34 rushes without any support? It seems to me more like a l2p problem you have because allies are very well able to destroy even the heaviest axis tanks.... |

Well, the M5 needs a change since it's just incredible right now, the stuart is fine. The Soviets are pretty good in 1v1s right now and can stop the axis vehicles with the SU 76 which is pretty strong and cost-effective right now. Artillery is just insane against OKW, so well the soviets are well prepared for anything the axis are going to throw against them. The USF are in a clear disadvantage ATM, especially vs Ostheer, they need some sort of counter against the MG 42s which are wrecking the USF right now. |
-Its price is its counter, you can field 2 squads with that much mp, use that to your advantage.
-If he has the luxury of keeping his arty until you retreat, then you're not pressuring adequately.
-If you are getting a hard time against (this) arty, hold off your commander pick until you see what your opponent picked, so you can counter-pick. It might be 'annoying' to not be able to 'play what you want any time you want' but this is a pvp game, it's not scripted.
1. It doesn't make sense to build 2 more Infantry Units, like 2 Volks for example if the're going to be blown up by the arty anyways and you are going to bleed masses of MP with having useless Infantry units.
2. You can't pressure an good allied player that much that he's going to waste his arty on something completely useless.
3. Alex already wrote it, there's no counter for arty in the OKW doctrines. It seems to me like you aren't playing okw that much, do you? |
Yeah, had the same problem already, especially with Okw since your buildings are just getting destroyed by the arty. On top of that you loose sturmpioneers while repairing or retreated units because the enemy is shooting at your base. On some maps you just can't do anything against it as okw.
But i don't know a solution for that problem, we could nerf the howizers back into the hole they came from but that would make them completely useless. The other option would be making the basesectors impossible to barrage with arty, but i don't know if that would be a good idea. |
As far as i've experienced the mg42 i can say it's not bad. The only problem i have all the time are the rifles. Running them over with cons isn't something new and it's more or less intended. The rifles will close in, get surpressed in granade range, they will throw a grenade or a smoke nade. If you retreat the mg it wil bunch up and die most likely because of the frag grenade, if you are trying to soft retreat it, you'll pack it up and until it's set up again the rifle isn't surpressed and as soon as your mg could shoot again the rifle is already besides your mg. That's the problem i've experienced most times. I won't complain about the rifle blobs because it's op and it's not the point of the discussion here. |
