The stuka is fine as it is. Yes, it wipes squads often, but if we compare it to the katy i can't see much of a difference. Sure, the stuka has a much larger firing area, but i have seen the katy wipe any weapon squads in it's firing circle easily. A unit which should be talked about is the panzerwerfer which is totally useless compared to the stuka or the katy. The usf might lack some light arty vehicle but they have the m8a1 howizer which fullfills it's role pretty well. And don't forget that they have the priest which is maybe the strongest moveable artillery piece since it is able to drive close to the enemy and shoot him directly into the face. The stuka is a very high investment for the okw and works best on camping enemys or enemys which are just "preparing". It might do lot's of damage when it hits, but there are enough signs, like the little flash or the unique sound. It's eaysy to dodge and mostly used vs blobbers which deserve such a punishment. |
I like the new cover system, even with mgs. My biggest problem was always the mg spam, bot because i couldn't beat it, more because it was fuckin annoying to play against it. Now mgs die more often from grenades, which might be too often sometimes, but at the same time i'm very happy with it. My opinion might be influenced by my hate for maxim spams but i like it. |
i have heard of it but you seem to not have heard of reading the opening text or the harder to be hit vet bonusses both volks and pgrens get and the speed at which they gain that vet with the schrecks before you wrote whatever ... you had to , also OBVIOUSLY if i wasnt engaging with HE i would not be making the thread , but i did and i d like to see you trying to change ammo with the e8 since it doesnt have the option . Also to get the best usage of shermans HE you have to close in which means cetain death for it . Now go back to the OP and read it
Well you got to admit your post is a little bit long so i apologize if i have overlooked something you wrote. But in general it seems to me like one guy has his own little problems with the usf because of...reasons. You complain about the assymetrical balance, for example the pak compared to the 57mm, while the pak has the better penetration and the better range (we dont talk about the heat rounds they work only when the enemy stays still), the 57mm has a very good pen with the at rounds and it is possible to create a increased los and range with vet 1. So my opinion hasn't changed it still seems like a ltp issue to me. |
The Wehrmacht sniper isn´t amazing. There are good reasons why no decent player ever use it. As always the allied squads are bigger in numbers hence why the sniper has worse operational effect in regards to picking off individual soldiers. Secondly the risk-reward for the unit is just crazy considering it´s 360mp for a unit with little cost effective qualities that will be extremely vulnerable as soon as it arrives. This being due to allies having light decent vehicles in T1.
Well the unit might be not that viable vs soviets, but vs americans since they have only high value targets. Playing a snipe vs a enemy with t1 might be indeed stupid, but it's good against any other tactic. It's true the snipe is very vulnerable if you compare it to the soviet snipe, but that's the point where skill comes in. And to the "no decent player uses it" i can just say watch stephenjfs or siberians stream. There you can see that they are using the snipes very successfully. Avoid being flanked, have infantry in front of it and you'll be fine. |
Wow people complaining about pgs and volks with schrecks, did nazi dat coming. I mean really, have you ever heared about the HE rounds of the sherman? Since patch and the new clumping mechanics they are a squadwipe machine. This entire thread seems to be a ltp issue to me. |
There's no need to buff the german sniper, if you want to change anything about snipes change the soviet snipes. |
Well the problem is, having a unit which is easy spammable behind the enemy lines with "nazi" or soviet mgs and the great ability to lay demos everywhere might be a little bit bad for the balance. Not because of the mg but because of demos. |

Mortar HT makes quick work of soviet cheese strats with its incendiary bomb. Well worth the 45 munitions for sure!
