Thread: Time to buff the German sniper?2 Nov 2014, 17:40 PM The Wehrmacht sniper isn´t amazing. There are good reasons why no decent player ever use it. As always the allied squads are bigger in numbers hence why the sniper has worse operational effect in regards to picking off individual soldiers. Secondly the risk-reward for the unit is just crazy considering it´s 360mp for a unit with little cost effective qualities that will be extremely vulnerable as soon as it arrives. This being due to allies having light decent vehicles in T1. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: July 15th patch?16 Jul 2014, 09:18 AM Can I just say I think way to much emphasis is being out on individual units everytime we discuss balance in this game. Sure looking at unit statistics the likes of obersoldaten or panzer grens they may put up effective numbers that is above realistic in regards to their cost. But what really matters in my opinion is their role in their specific army and what hole they fill. For the likes of OKW players we are completely reliant on doctrinal units like the mg34 or panzer fusiliers. Against high vet allied infantry blobs and shock troops we need a core unit like the obersoldaten to keep up in the general mid game. So what I'm trying to say is that these units getting nerfed might be considered too cost effective on their own but in the general role in the respective faction they fill a fair role and it's not right to have them nerfed. Just get a Jagdpanzer to deal with any tank aggression and back up with either fuasts or shreks. Just dont panic because you are pushed back into your base initially. If you're pushed back in your base and your way to get out is sniping maxims with mortars it´s going to take way too long against a decent player. And you've dug yourself too big of a economic hole if you give up the map for too long. In: COH2 Balance
