What if I told you the bullshit dlc lunacy was already planned by THQ since the HQ based on doctrine concept was scrapped at concept phase already and never made it to the game.

In fact, THQ planned the DLCs waaay before that.
What do you think CoHO was? It was a monetization experiment for CoH2, nothing else.

Hell, look at THQ preorder bonuses and when you could preorder.
DLCs were planned even before they started actually coding coh2.

Alright man my bad, take it easy though lol. Do you think Sega took it a step further?

It doesn't matter who took it where. The fact is: DLC decision influenced CoH2 design to the extend that deducted from the fun and enjoyment of this game. We have tons of useless commanders and handful of balance issues here and there e.g. Soviet Industry, Elite army etc. and that sucks big time.

Hardly.

You want to know a game that took it a step further?
Check out Evolve P2win tier monsters and hunters.

Hell, look at Star Wars:The Old Republic to know where "too far, bro" is.

Man I miss the days when we have expansion packs, if only COH2's business model is like SC2 instead of the DLC mess.

Given the argumentative nature of the people involved, I doubt you're going to see any agreement. When people are intentionally fighting over technicalities, they're just flexing nuts. They know better, but choose not to.

They may as well be arguing over whether a spork is a spoon or a fork.

I prefer to call it foon, actually.

CoH2 is balanced as far as you're concerned.

It was when OKW had fuel penalty and no ammo penalty and before the stupid UFK dlc.For 2 months before the game was balanced, maybe su76 barrage range it's a bit too much but oh well

Engine destroy is that when the vehicle stops entirely? Haven't seen in a long time. Will mines not cause engine damage anymore?

3. Relic, Why i need pack howitzer now?

That's a good point. I don't know...range? Did Relic not comment on this at all?

The in-game message says that Relic will take down the servers in about five and a half hours, so the patch will probably go up around then.

So, we can still crush with medium tanks?

Apparently.

What time do the servers go down in CET?

And don't give me that "nine hours later" fleeting answer. You might have had a lucky shot with that one before, but come on now. :snfQuinn:

If I were you, Id start playing a couple of months after launch. I expect this patch will be implemented in the game, just like all the previous patches :brad:

To clarify, this quote is in reference to the Pak Howie.

You pick a Howie now if you proceeded beyond the 6 minute mark without a mortar and want better indirect fire. You pick a mortar if you unlocked Lt and you must have indirect fire NOW.

The mortar is not a must build, the USF 3 rifle opening is just as powerful as it was because OKW does not get a T0 MG. However, now instead of teching for nades and eating up munitions you can choose to get a mortar to provide smoke instead. However, you will pay a higher MP (and drain for upkeep) and you will need to set up to fire. In return the mortar can also do some damage and you save munitions, which you will need, to deal with volks AI.

The mortar is not that good, its ok, but its not that good. It just opens up a new range of build orders for USF so it is not always: Rifle, Rifle, Rifle, tech.

I feel like with a t0 USF mortar, the MG34 is going to be relegated to as an important role as the 50Cal.

Except it won't have the penetration and there won't be a mortar to accompany it. D:
