maybe try the m-42 to be more similar to the raketenwerfer? decrease tha atg's range in exchange for actual useful penetration, damage, and cloak.

Should be able to swap between HE and AP rounds on the M-42 maybe to make it a bit more interesting.

Men of War all AT guns can kill infantry w/ HE shells but in Coh2 it seems they only wish to fight tanks.. so strange.
Axis biased, Allied biased. Play every faction before you scream nerf, be a Coh2 player not an "Axis" or "Allied" player.

The small AT gun was ok when it had more of a chance to snipe men. Use to use two together supporting cons.

Give it Canister shells at vet1 (copy from Greyhound), and/or give it Treadshot or Aimed Shot (copy from AEC/ OKW Puma)

At least then, it's still no killer but it's great way to complement your other units.

Also WTF is it with people demanding a 100mm Soviet unit?

Its the dream of AT hith higher pen than 200... Although knowing relic it would have 200 pen but have twice the ROF as the su85!

What are you talking about? Why you wrote this to me? Isn’t soviet m42 suppose to be AT gun too? Now it barely worse than 2 PTRS.:snfPeter:

I find it rather amusing, that people who constantly have repeated that history does not apply to coh2 not even slightly would make historic arguments themselves.

guys here write so many ideas, but Relic ResidentSleeper.

Really there are so many options.
First, position. Like T0-T1 undoc M-42 will be fine vs cubels, armor car and halftrack. Yeah M-42 can't kill anything exept bunker (if german palyer not sleep) but it can drive away fast armor. And that's enough.
Second, abilites. I see 2 ways. One is increase efficiency like AT-gun, second is increase efficiency like field gun. AT role of AI role. Increase price if at needet.
1) AT: Take Aim, HVAP shell, Target Weak Point, Aimed Shot or Treadshot. Anything from this list at first vet will make M-42 better. Buff pen at least to PTRS level.
2) AI: canister shot, AT/HE toggle or profile T-70 gun with reduced RoF.
You see? We can do a lot interesting things here. But one problem - who will deal with this? LoLiks? HA.HA.HA. Well, again, I spend time on something that will never happen:guyokay:

He didnt use history as a basis for balance, he had a quick blurb about partisans, there was no "and so the tiger should have more armour and have 90 range cause it was a beast irl" it was straight up "this is cool"

M-42 is crap since release, pure light AT is just not worth it in this game, all other light AT has scaling till late game:
_Puma got lol coaxial MG and OP vet
_Guards has button and being decent AT,
_PTRS cons for a time is mainly used for AI and after PTRS nerf nobody bother with that commander anymore,
_Pre-buff SU-76 and AEC is total shite too
_USF 57mm is barely usable even with vet + AP round
So no unless it give me something for late game than I'll stick with my trusty Zis.
