If you put a USF officer in a vehicle and use it around Riflemen in combat, does it attain veterancy faster?

I can see creative usage of LT in M20 with a double zook M20 Crew if this is true.

(Major in a Jackson, too.)

Directly? Not anymore, since the 25 February patch.
Indirectly (by preventing them from using weapons upgrades & forcing weapon drops), yes.

He does it for free, why would they pay him. Plus, seeing as he has given them a comprehensive list of bugs and inconsistencies and they still haven't fixed them, it's not an issue of finding bugs.

So you think they would release current hotfix even if they knew it is bugged? Come on. Its not the issue of finding bugs in current build, its the issue of finding bugs in pre-release build. And thats something cruzz cannot do unless they allow him to.

Fair enough. And don't get me wrong, I would love it if Cruzz started working at Relic. But they do already know about a lot of bugs that could be fixed by changing 1 or 2 numbers, and they've been around for way too long. Working on DoW3 is my guess, can't spare the people.

Tested, going around drive-bying in an AAHT showed that the crew gets the same amount of XP - LT squads will hit vet 3 after killing 29 Grenadiers, whether they do it on foot or in a vehicle.

On the bright side at least Relic didn't break HMGs and gave them stacking Vet by model. The maxim spam would get real then :D

Wasn't March deployment 2014 when they messed around with Veterancy in a major way the last time? The bugs been in the engine forever but maybe they didn't use the affected modifiers until that patch?

Having now checked the team weapons, I have good news.

Every atgun, and all the static howitzers, and LEIGs, will gain fun stuff at vet2.

All the atguns and howitzers will gain a rotation bonus of 130% to 200% (depending on squad), to the power of the number of members (plus the team weapon) in their squad at the time they gain vet2.

So for instance a ZIS3 will gain a rotation bonus of 1.3^7 = 627% upon reaching vet2 with a full squad. If you hit vet2 with a less than full squad then it'll be less, and will never be increased either (without decrewing the weapon and vetting up again).

LEIG, already mentioned, gains speed instead.

Like are those numbers there if you check the files from last patch?

If they've been there previously we could probably confirm a time when veterancy stopped working.

Yes, because rotation only matters for the team weapon, it doesn't matter whether the other models lose it or not.

The LEIG speed might have been broken after reinforcement, but I'm leaning towards it actually working because I think the infantry manning it would just play catch up to the gun irregardless of what their own speed is.

Also as an additional note, there's two team weapons that get some extra trolly bonuses right now due to this stacking.

One of them is LEIG. Which is getting 0.77^5 = 0.27 received accuracy at vet2

The other one is HMG34, which is getting 0.8^5 = 0.33 received accuracy at vet4. And 6 vision (addition) * 5 for good measure at vet5.

They have some pretty impressive survivability thanks to this ;)
