As a QoL improvement, would people like ATGs and TDs to have Vehicle Priority on by default?

This would mean newly built ATGs and AT vehicles, recrewed ATGs and recrewed Jacksons/M10s would all have Vehicle Priority by default so you wouldn't need to toggle it on all the time.

The only real downside is that it's gonna take everyone some time to adjust to it.

Definite yes.

Why?
It got its own balancing factors that keep it in check.

having a unit in range witha timed recon that requires munitions goes against the principals of coh? i really do not follow....

yes the timing is too long for a game that has sped up considerable over many patches.

That sentence makes no sense.

yes the reveal times ligner too long and too wide an area.
something need to change. so reactions are fairly treated

just like the zis barrage, follow up shots are too fast, and mostly your weapon crew are dead even if you hit fast retreat

So the bundle nades should get a longer timer to avoid the massive damage and instant wipes as well? Next to the powerfull dps of for example pgrens?

The only thing that needs to change is OKW flares.

Any other flare requiers a unit to be fielded, moved where it needs to be and ability to be used, just like any other scouting ability in game that is located on a unit.

Its up only a fraction of time OKW flares are as well, so that "too long" arguments gets thrown out of the window.

UHU reveals much larger area and you don't even pay for it, so maybe nerf this instead?

Oh and if "follow up shots" are too fast for you, perhaps you should improve your micro and not let your weapon teams sit in barrage for half a minute instead of blaming irrelevant factor?

UKF flares are arguably even better than OKW ones in some circumstances. They both need to be replaced with other abilities.

Last time I've checked you couldn't use it to spot and blow up arty near your opponents base.

Allies already have that in the form of nondoctrinal recon planes, at least for USF. Given that one of these planes comes from the opponent's base sector (At vet), it's similarly nearly uncounterable in practical terms.

It's also worth stating that only Soviet opponents will have artillery vulnerable to such a flare, given that USF and UKF artillery are mobile vehicles, not emplaced guns.

I think the recon tools of a lot of factions need a lot of fiddling with.

Just to clarify

Reckon planes are now available also from UKF and OKW in the patch. In addition UKF have some weird abilities that combine call in or off map with reckon.

There is no magical thing called "allied factions" that has it all.
Talk specifics or stop talking about nothing.

USF having major recon is NOT an excuse to be salty about soviet flares.

The callin flares are sort of irrelevant though, they're practically useless in 90% of cases. Other than that, yeah, i agree.

Recon planes in general have sort of a duality, they rely entirely on luck to do their job, and so those that come from one's own base sector are often rather useless, but those that come from opposing base sectors are FAR too effective.
