Howis are easy to fix I've already had a proposal
1) Limit them to 1 per player (fixed problem of arty spam in teamgames).
2) Lower amount of shells per barrage, but lower cooldown on barrage.
3) Remove counter-barrage from LeFH. Both LeFH and ML-20 could have pressition barrage, only few shells but with lower scatter and lower range.
4) Add ability to self-destoy them, in order to be able to relocate them (like UKF emplacements).
5) Maybe even buff them slitgtly, because of all other changes.
Mobile howis like prist\Sextons
1) Same with barrages
2) Limit them to 2 per player
3) Increase their pop-cap, so if you go full mobile arty you sacrifice at least something.
Rocket arty:
Its alright, only Caliope armor and HP should be lowered to allow easier counter play. But its pretty much acknowledged by everyone.

There is no such thing as a "heavy tank destroyer", to begin with. The closest thing might be a FireFly, but even its is debatable, its still effective against all targets, same with SU-85. They are more vulnerable to mediums, but thats it.
Even in theory, if you lower RoF of Jackson it will achieve nothing. It still will be better then any sherman, if you need to counter any type of tanks.

It really is a shame we can't at least retexture models. Blue Volks (or even Ostruppen models I guess) would be perfectly usable as "Luftwaffe Ground Force" infantry models. Providing OKW with a doctrinal Engineer/utility combat unit would be pretty useful.
Well worst case scenario, ostheer arty crew or mortar crew could be used for this type of unit. Might not be nessesery called luft ground forces because of it, but the idea will be the same anyway. |
One of the OKW problems - multiple commanders suffer a lot from the filler abilities.
Especially Feuersturm, Defensive and Luft.
Defensinve
Heavy fortifications and field defenses should really be one ability.
Same with Lefh and Pak43.
Suggestions:
1) Combine Heavy fort+field defenses
1.1) Maybe add CACHES to this commander? I undestand that, its against the rules to add caches to OKW, but like come-on UKF got mortar\HT\assault.inf to cover their holes in faction desing in a single commander, why not give OKW caches in one commander, to adress teamgames with OKW full house.
2) Combine LeFH and Pak43 into something called heavy weaponary unlock.

This leaves 2 open slots for the abilities:
1) Maybe give volks some sort of weaker LMG upgade? Not to bring them to the Grenadier level (and for sure obersts), but something to specifically improve their long range combat power, without being crazy.
2) Second could be For The Fatherland ability.
Feuersturm
Incendiary Munitions is a filler ability aswell, strong one, but still.
Suggestions:
1) Just give OKW regular mortar with this unlock.
Luftwaffe Ground Forces
Give us vCoH luftwaffe ground forces, god dammit
Heavy fortifications has no place in this commander.
Suggestions:
1) Idk, maybe give volks ability to turn them into an engi unit? Like give them mine-sweeper upgrade, they will get 1\2 mine sweepers (to delete their combat power), but in return they will be able to sweep\repair\lay mines and combine it with Heavy fortifications.
Over-all meh abilities:
1) Airborne Assault - reinforcing fallshims is nice, but aside from that for 200 muni this ability is very weak.
2) Zeroing Artillery very expensive and most importanly very hard to use effectively. |
Reasoning is much more simple. You dont really have reason to get any of the heavy tanks.
Some of them might be better some might be worst. But ultimatly, IS2\Tiger\Pershing are not a threat in any way. One AT gun with lucky RNG rolls can pottentually deliver some nasty damage to a heavy tank forcing it back. On top of that add timing and the fact that there will be more then 1 AT source on the enemy side by the time you get your heavy tank.
TDs are being part of the Allies meta, you always will have them, because they are effective. And TDs counter Tiger like there is no tommorow, Axis will usually have multiple pak\schreks and possibly panther which will counter IS-2\Pershing.
Ppl still use KT because KT, unlike other heavy tanks still has really good AI and AT damage and really nice survivability, meaning that even if you cant spearhead with it, its still is a very strong defensive unit and mobile universal defensive platform.
Other heavy tanks cant spearhead, cant be used deffensively (because AT damage is on pair with other tanks and AI damage is objectively shitty). They are only good if you have upper hand over enemy and your haavy tank is nothing more then a finishing move.
Aside from that I tend to avoid Pershing\Tiger\IS-2 completly because its a noob trap. Most of the times its better just getting few more mediums, then getting one heavy tank. |

Seeking is pissed off, because he got a timeban. Because community figures were acting like he 100% hacked, but were unable to prove it, he thinks that he have an upper hand now.
Seeking took the initiative by releasing bunch of black mail to present A_E and others as a biased and unprofessional individuals, showing that ML ban is an act of vengeance for an inability to ban him for cheats.
Therefor even ML ban is unjitified and should be dropped, because it was given unrightfully by dudes with personal hatered towards him.

This was brought up multiple times already, and main question is. Does USF\UKF need stock rocket arty, besides the fact that other factions have it? You can give reasoning why soviets need it, why ost\okw need it, but what USF\UKF cant accomplish or what is that gap that only rocket arty can fill for them. |

Except you shoudnt compare auto-fire, mobile and not counterable with your own inderect fire unit, to a glass cannon, fire on CD and most importanly dodgeable unit. |

A_E and community showed how biased and dirty they can be, Seeking showed privite massages showing lack of morals.
Deadbolt got boosted, possibly cheated in CoH2, cheated in vCoH and never got banned or had any consequences

Well, we had this approach from the get go. Thats pretty much the reason why the previous thread got so dirty.
At least explains why A_E videos had a possition of "unproved yet cheater" (maybe not intentionally, but its pointless to deny it, phrasing in both videos speaks it), why some of the actions were illogical in a first place by the ppl who organized it all.
Sure sharing privite massages are not that good, but honesly, for me, nothing special was shown. It would have been more surprising, if it wasnt like that.
The only question is, why it so much personal hate. I mean, because Seeking was boosting deadbolt, and deadbolt is a cheater? |
