Its just a general name for soldiers. Its not like each squad is "5th rifles, Lieutenant **** and co." Its just a summary of what the squad does. Obersoldaten are simply Obersoldaten. Nothing hints their origin or placement, they are just better than troops around them. |
I also agree that this is a bad poll because the metagame is developed by the players, how varied it can become depends on the map pool and the tools available at the players disposal.
With the amount of viable strats the soviets have at their disposal I think some of the accusations of boring meta are down to players not experimenting enough.
People could, but theyd lose. And no one wants to lose, so meta isnt made voluntarily. People are limited to their tools and how their tools are balanced. Balance dictates people to win with what little they have, so meta is dictated by the variety in the game. Meta is stale atm for most people. |

japan could work in COH 3, in the sense that if it played vs US that was made for the pacific , and tanks like the sherman would be expensive, late game units.
You could make up the entire japanese army out of prototypes sure, but i prefer my games to have a little bit of authenticity.
You could also make the entire japanese army full of gimmicks (suicide trucks, kamikaze attacks, banzai, super defensive gameplay) but who would like to play againts that? Not alot of people enjoyed the way brits worked in coh, would you want something similar except EVEN more trucky and defensive?
Unfortunately, theres not much to add in terms of factions from different countries in WW2, starting from june 24th, we will pretty much have all the major factions put it.
If there ever is another expansion for coh 2 (why not), i'm putting my hopes for either the british or a soviet gaurds faction ( there are litteraly tons of soviet vehicles that are not in the game yet)
Japan would not work with the CoH2 system. CoH2 is advanced tank battling and strategic use of support weaponry. Lets focus on Europe, there are still many soviet tanks and infantry sections missing, and the USSR had a lot of enemies. There is also Afrika, for the British and other axis forces. |
Another Idea might be make that unit as a mix of a Hummel and an Elephant.
Default bullet = anti/tank. But you have a barrage ability that can be used as a howitzer. Is the ISU-152 a mobile howitzer? then let's shoot barrages, not auto firing....
That's what I don't understand, how Relic can make this without testing. This kind of errors are making players to LEAVE the game.
Also a good idea. ISU-152 is a ML-20 on tracks. It has indirect fire as accurate as the ML-20. It should fire as an indirect arc, not a direct turbo shot. |
