You never know how it is going to backfire. There is no gameplay reason to change that stat. The only reason is that some players feel one number in the stats is too big. Armour values are especially tricky to modify, as thanks to the lack of side armour even a tank shot from the front can get hit in the rear armour, which means it is really hard to think of all scenarios when the unit will perform worse than it should becouse of such change. What's UP?14 Mar 2018, 18:20 PM Jump back to quoted post14 Mar 2018, 18:11 PMStug life kv-1 is a bit OT but more about desing and less about raw stats, it just needs less rear armor and more speed (to medium tank lvl) kv2 need a rework and isu 152 should be brought in line with the jagdT and ele rear armor changes so he is right KV-1 is pretty weak, I would give it UT at best in the scale of this thread. Yeah, it has high rear armour, but without it, it would be completely useless. So there is that. Even now there is little point of building it. The only reason why it sees any action is becouse it has been put in one commander with newly overbuffed IL-2. KV-2 doesn't need rework as a singular unit. The whole commander needs it. As it stands now, KV-2 is not worth its price for how late it comes and how easy it is to counter. Would give it UP in the scale. ISU-152 is not in the same class of units as jagd and ele any more. Sure, when supported it can be worth its price, though only on the most favourable maps (that are also unfavourable 95% of other soviet units) It definitely doesn't need any nerfs to its armour, especially taking into consideration how quickly it dies when attacked from the front by TDs. In the scale I would give it 'ballanced', with additional description 'situational'. In: COH2 Balance

Not to mention that giving snares to the brits non doctrinally is hardly a QoL change, more like throwing current design out of the window. If you want to get a list like this, it would be much better to start with a poll. Also mind that these are the units that seem imballanced to you in the current state of the game. If anything in the game changes, including somebody discovering a new strategy/build, these will be invalid. Even after changing some of these units, other may not feel wrong. Changing so many units would just kick the game from the fairly ballanced point it is in now to some completely random place. In: COH2 Balance

Except ostheer is not in the backfoot in the early game, as long as you use the early sniper against brits/usf and mgs/mortars against soviets. Okw is better in the early game only for the first 2-3 minutes when sturmpio shines, then it's the ostheer that has easier time. Ostheer is a solid early game faction as long as you don't try to rush T2. In: COH2 Balance

What I ment is that they use up a lot of space, while offering low density of cover positions. Which is not that much important when there is only one, but If you want cover for a few squads, you will have a lot of trouble fitting it in. That is why soviet sandbags are worse than original heavy cover on the map and other factions sandbags. The bigger hitbox also means that they get destroyed quicker, especially by indirect fire. Thread: Riflemen Sandbags8 Mar 2018, 17:55 PM Sandbags are in a pretty good spot right now. Let me explain: 1. Okw sandbags on volks are a must have, as sturms are already an overburdened unit. 2. Soviet sandbags are plentiful but weaker than other sandbags. They also take lots of space, which makes them ballanced. 3. Ostheer sandbags are rightfully on the pios, who are a cheap but not spammable squad. Grens are too cheap and spammable to get the good sandbags so instead of going the way of soviets they less but better sandbags. 4. Usf sandbags are doctrinal and REs actually got better buildable green cover in the form of tank traps which means its pretty much oke. 5. Ukf is the only problematic one as they get sandbags on a squad that benefits the most from them (its like if soviets had sandbags on guards), but on the other hand that is what they need to stay competitive and also the faction as a whole is hugely based around terrain and cover modification. So on in all they are the worst implementation of sandbags ballance wise but still pretty much ok. In: COH2 Balance
