What kind of idiot would stick around in a pug team to be raped by a premade team of 4?
Anyone that sticks around for that deserves the loss.
The fact that teams are on the same ladder not only means they play against each other but also that the arranged team will usually contain worse players than random one. The matchmaker creates matches based on past matches, so on real outcome of matches. This means it takes only the data about outcome of all factors, not different factors themselves, into calculation, including the factor of arranged team. This just means that no matter if you are AT or not you still have the same chance to win if you play it fair instead of running away. |
Wait, this was a FEATURE?!
It was tested once. But it was never polished, it's hard to do it well enough for coh detail level. Never seen it done correctly in a video game, for example in blitzkrieg it happened to mess up phisics. |
EDIT: tried to reproduce it in custom game, around 100 pzerfaust and couldn't reproduce bug.
if the tank get behind a building, the pzerfaust just hit the building but it doesn't disapear.
Isn't it also a bug when weapon that is designed to always hit its targer hits a building? |
When we're at history mind that m1 garand was, as you rightfully suggest delivered to most american soldiers, but the m1 carabine was considered better by the soldiers, just becouse it was lighter, had 15 shot magazine and better RoF. What they did, was often dropping the garand and taking the carabine from their dead brother of arms. That is why, by the end of war, over 70 percent of ammunition delivered to infantry units was the shorter round used by m1 carabine, even though the much smaller was the percentage of soldiers equipped with it.
That's what I read somewhere, but it's worth checking, as I don't remember where sadly. I hope the info is going to proove useful nontheless. |
If the OP has good enough teaching talent he can be a good one. Mentor doesn't have to be top player. It's enough if he is much better than mantee. In many cases it happens that if the mentor is too good, he will feel like wasting time teaching bad players. |
vs mortar pit + bofors yes, but it doesn't work so well if he went for mortar pit spam + AEC.
Problem of mortar HT is its sucky range (same as a usual ostheer mortar) --> it gets sniped too easy by AEC, on some maps even by AT gun
He was asking about countering bofors though. Countering AEC is a whole different story. |
Hi. I play wher. 2v2 . 2 brits make me sick. They build mortars I try burn it with hf but they build bofors too early. Than all mortas fall my head. I lost many mans. Than I try stuka and stuka bomb. skill no damage to brits units. They allways repair...
You sir need more mortar halftracks then Order them to fire incendiary shot at bofors and then shift order attack ground where the bofors is. If you do this just after they placed it and you have 2 mortar halftracks or a mortar halftrack and a mortar, you will easily kill it. If they brace you can move in with flame halftrack, if anything, it does best damage to braced structures. Just remember to pull out before the brace is over. And be sure to still barrage the target when its over. |
IS with PIATs have the steep reload penalty (+40%). We can easily offset the reload cycle (aim, fire, reload) to reload. Thus, Infantry Sections can suffer the maximum amount of penalty.
With the Vet3 Scoped rifle "bonus" Tommies are additionally even more unreliable than that. Though the Scoped Rifle thing will be the first thing we will trash if anything changes on Tommies.
You are going to trash that? That's great! |
But engine damage is nothing if you can escape. Hovewer if you make more mistakes in row you should be punished
1st is getting snared
2nd is lacking any support aroun vehicle to protect it
3rd being near AT gun without knowing it or letting enemy get near your tank with infantry that have some kind of AT.
Only problem that can happen is IS with snare and PIAT. I think once they get snare, they should get locked piats
You sure can escape, but you can't attack any further. And you loose quite a lot of precious time repairing and maintaining a damaged vehicle that did nothing.
Mind that I'm not saying that kiting or snares are bad. Just that having a faction that doesn't have to be kited so much would widen the meta. |
are we talking about same game ? For me 1v1 match looks completely different than you describe it and snare is there mostly for at gun coverage and last option to save squads from light vehicles
I think we are but it is possible that we perceive it differently. I'm more of an aggressive player. Still, what you say prooves that 10 muni difference changes nothing, everybody kites the squad just like he would with a 25 muni snare and still he gets engine damage every time he fails to do it. |
