Even now, when I here the voice of either lieutenant or Commandos (specially lieutenant) I reach Climax, end of story. I'm not really familiar with different British accents, but those voice actors were amazing. Irish accent is also fantastic, specially when they rant and swear. |
Please read what i wrote before responding. I saying IF there is a received accuracy to blobs, it should ONLY count for the CORE INFANTRY units. aka, nerf CORE INFANTRY blobs NOT support weapon blobbing (which can be countered by indirect fire.
Also, for my second point, i said for being stationary AFTER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME so that it will affect lmg grens and PTRS cons but wont affect infantry defending a postion. In other words, the problem isnt a huge stationary blob (which can be countered with indirect fire) but a blob that is moving around the map wiping everything in its path. Get my point?
Read before you reply please and thank you .
Well, my first sentence says "Affecting core infantry is the whole point" and I totally agree with you, but also I wanna add infantry call-in to the list (Shocks,Fusis etc). I didn't contradict you.
About the second point, my opinion still stands but that doesn't really matter because if you want to form a static defense line, your gonna get rekt by indirect fire so you either have to move the blob or stay under fire. And there is a difference between X amount of time and Extended amount of time. I thought you are suggesting something like 4-5 seconds. But again IMHO it doesn't matter, if you set a very dense static defense line, even if you lose the buff you are forced to move or get rekt. |
There wasn't any USF before March Deployment.
Holy shit I'm fucked up in the head. Can't say anything, I have a couple of excuses though, it's 4AM here, I'm on drugs (Adderall) and haven't slept for like 30 hours but yea that's pretty much inexcusable! The story is true but that march thing is embarrassing. |
So you have a "story" to tell your grand children™ Quinn "Drama Queen" Duffy.
I swear to god (Elohim, Allah, Jesus what ever the hell you believe or don't believe in) that about a year ago ( before march deployment ( ) I played a game in Camping in the woods, and USF's P47 crashed on my Panther "3 FUCKING TIMES". It was like Ok panther's here let's win, whiiiizzzzzzzh BOOM 10% health. Ok I have repair station... after two minutes, the same shit, and again the same freaking shit happened.
I hate myself because I didn't record it. |
If there is a received accuracy placed on blobs i think it should only affect core infantry units (no support weapons) since support units are rarely blobbed and are stationary and therefore prone to indirect fire.
Another idea is that the received accuracy modifier is taken away after the units stop moving for x amount of seconds. This would prevent defensive positions from getting the received accuracy nerf while still hurting blobs that have to move to not get wrecked by indirect fire.
Affecting only core infantry, or some call-ins is the whole point of this. Only spamable units (Grens,Volk,Pzgrens,Fusi,Shocks,Cons etc.) should be affected not support weapons.
I don't agree with you second point about removal of the effect after being stationary. Most blobs deal huge damage when stationary (LMG Grens, LMG Rifles-which have defensive stance- LMG Obers, PTRS Cons).
I'm not sure this is the proper way to go about fixing this, as Inverse said this feels like a bandaide approach.
I'm wondering if maybe removing the defensive bonuses units receive from suppression would do anything(or just remove it from clumped units?). This would make sure that at least the blob takes some manpower bleed and forces a faster retreat or face the consequences.
The damage reduction is only applied to suppressing unit (Only the MG deal less damage) but that's also an option.

If the doctor isn't going to do surgery, a bandaid is exactly what's needed.
+1 to debuff aura. Been saying this for months now.
This.At this point we can't really expect Relic to redesign core mechanics.

Sturmofficer buff radius is pretty big you know, it would affect negatively normal engagements you know.
Thing needs to be tight and sever for 4 or more squads, thats all.
Moving squads in pairs is not uncommon and shouldn't be punished in any way.
Well, that's why I said it's debatable. But with some test a good radius can be found. I agree with the minimum of 4 squads (of any kind or maybe 3 of the same) in a small radius. |
This would solve the whole A-move blobbing issue if you ask me. Some kind of Blob nerf, received accuracy, suppression, even damage.
The radius is debatable but can be solved. Something like Sturmofizier's buff radius. This way, "infantry heavy strats" will not be affected. |
I think that the Soviet mortar is too weak outside barrage, and that barrage is a scam on the Ostheer mortar. Of course, outside-barrage performance is more important than in-barrage performance, so the Ostheer mortar is better by default.
Would be nice if the Ostheer barrage actually improved accuracy instead of fire rate. The Soviet one lacks RoF so it gets RoF while the Ostheer barrage is horribly inaccurate.
I kinda agree, but this would turn mortars into 0-skill unit (SkilzMortarz). Just buy one, put it somewhere and let it gain vet. Counter barrage on that mortar is great though. |
if a better player beats you, blame their skill or your lack of rather than the games balance.
This is very fundamental man, human nature and all. Humans tend to blame subjects which they have no or minimal control over themt. Automatch, Lag, Skill, RNG, etc.
For me, the reasons of losing a game are:
1. 50% L2p
2. 10% teammate (if 1v1, add this to No.1)
3. 30% game balance (mostly maps)
4. 10% RNG
Although after some losses I bitch and cry, but at the end it's mostly L2P specially for average players. |
I think these abilities have trade offs in a 1v1 but are incredibly unfair as more players are added to the game
Exactly. |
