Thread: Penals and Veterancy10 May 2014, 18:02 PM Well before I used to get 1 Penal one Script run into two Grens and just keep merging the Penals. First fight I would usually end up with Vet 1 almost Vet 2. I just messed around with a comp stomp and noticed one Penal squad (that took almost no damage) has 12 kills and still wasnt Vet 2. He ALMOST was vet 2. And he was killing mostly Grens. So that seems like an AWFUL lot of kills to not make Vet 2. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Penals and Veterancy10 May 2014, 16:11 PM Hey I have noticed since they infantry lethality rebalance that Penals seem to vet very very slow. Pre change I could get Penals to vet 2 in the first few engagements due to how much damage they could do. But now its well into mid game or late game before they seem to vet up. Now they still do really good damage and their cost has been reduced. That used to be tied to their XP pool. Does anyone know if Relic forgot to adjust the XP pool on Penals when they made them cheaper/weaker? In: COH2 Gameplay

I say both mgs should have more set-up time and for compensation when a unit comes under fire from an mg, it's abilities would get -50% range (no more retarded derpmoli for the mg and annoying rifle nades for the maxim's crew) +1. You can hate the political system all you like. It takes a tremendous ammount of intestinal fortitude to be in that situation that most gamers cant even begin to comprehend. Blobs are high in my skill levels meta. MG42 however can stop blobs well. Not to mention Scripts wont use Green cover. There is always that Ahole that stands out and gets the entire squad surpressed. Thanks to tanks being more lethal to infantry you can punish a blobber really hard now. All this one shoot wipes by IS-2 or Tiger we hear recently. Assuming those units are present (which they arent always) then it can be punished. But its alot harder now with things like Kats and Werfers as well as Arty. And the longer mid game means tanks come later making it viable alot longer. With infantry lethality you can blob and do squad whipe after squad whipe with infantry much better then you could before. Thats my opinion on the matter. For early and Mid game Turtling and Blobbing have received a buff. Edit: And what turtle is complete without a few AT guns after all which are again ALOT better (thank god). In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Maps that induce camping.5 May 2014, 13:09 PM Camping and Blobbing are rewarded to heavily this patch. This has caused me alot of losses. Being aggressive is hardly as rewarding as it once was. When playing as Ost on Langres I had a Soviet player build 2x Maxims to camp his side of the map with 4x Scripts then 3x 82MM Mortars lol.
