Schreks (esp on Volks) need an accuracy nerf so that OKW players actually invest in other hard vehicle counters. Right now, Obers counter infantry, Volk blob counters Tanks, and then the KT counters all. Absolute BS.
Well part of the problem is that OKW doesn't any reliable vehicle counters early on, except the Panzerschreck. The Raketenwerfer is dreadful, the gun is short ranged and cumbersome with long aim times, while the crew is small and highly vulnerable. The Puma works against light vehicles but is fragile and struggles against medium tanks. And the Jagdpanzer IV is blind everywhere but its front end and has terrible accuracy, and must be supported (by Panzerschrecks) at all times because any flank is almost certain death. |
That's different Bazookas aren't cost effective. If you want Panzerschrecks to be the same, then you're admitting that you don't care about balance, you only want the enemy to be easier to fight. Fine make them laser accurate still lower their Pen and Damage to 60. There you go Bazooka version 2.

I do not see a lot of people blobbing Zooks to overcome their uselessness. And When I see it, it never work as intended.

You forget I had to build t1, plus I had like 300 ish manpower when I attacked, but had to micro so couldn't build anything.

If my calculations are correct, he spent 1720MP while you spent 1330MP. Even if you got a 4th Penal squad, you wouldn't overtake him in manpower spent. |
The problem with nerfing Panzerschrecks is you just exacerbate the problem by ensuring that they're ineffective in small numbers, which further encourages people to amass them. The problem with making Veterancy not effect them is that this would mean any unit with a Panzerschreck upgrade will not be able to have accuracy bonuses with veterancy. You could take it further any say no infantry unit should get accuracy bonuses with veterancy, because it increases the performance of captured AT weapons. |
Are you comparing 222 scout car to Soviet AA half truck? Because if you do you should be compering it to USF and OKW half trucks.

I personally think that Obers are killing as fast as they should I like seeing enemy units getting cut down to pieces from a machine gun it just makes coh look and feel more realistic. Don't touch the obersoldaten, buff the other small arms.
That would make everything way too fragile, Infantry would have to go way down in cost otherwise you'd just have a bunch of half dead squads, some missing (dead) squads, and no manpower. Tanks would be extremely good because their hull and roof MG's would be killing Infantry AT squads. |
Give suppression to a more heavily armoured, faster and more agile scout vehicle with more vision than the Kubel? Is it that you have so much trouble early game that you want both axis sides to have mobile suppression, learn to micro your mg42.

What is going yo happened with Volks after such a change? Because giving them the option to gain weapon upgrades for ammunition is even more ridiculous.
It's not nearly as ridiculous as the strongest infantry AT weapon on a cheap and durable 5 man squad, who at Vet 5 are the most durable infantry in the game. And also Vet 5 comes fast because they have a bloody AT weapon. |
