Someone mentioned going mental over Hetzers. I dont think I need to remind everyone that Hetzers NEED to hetz! Don't be cruel and deny them!
We already have an established precedent in having both the M10 and M36 with practically identical roles. Having both the Hetzer and the Jagdpanzer IV (and, I presume, the Jagdpanther) would not detract from the game. They could always give the Hetzer or the JP to OH if you want to avoid redundancies, but otherwise the cost would be drastically different and they could always add funky abilities to either one.
Or could it be that they're saving the Hetzie for the inevitable Hungarians.. One can always hope, I suppose.

Played a 3v3 against this strategy yesterday - despite having a tiny corner of the map with fuel, they managed to OP up and truck up, meaning they were getting out king tigers.
You can't tell me that isn't broken in some capacity?
True, it makes little sense that the more you have players, the larger the advantage.
I advocate the following: full bonus in 1 v 1, half bonus for both in 2 v 2, a third for each in 3 v 3 and a quarter bonus in 4 v 4 for all. OKW could have a further -33% or whatever to their share. |
The Opel is boring now that it only supplies the original player. How about adjusting it so that it simply splits the extra resources between players? That way it wouldn't scale up at all but everyone on the team would still have a vested interest in protecting the trucks. I like how the entire point of some commanders IS to supply teammates, let's keep it that way.
Also, what if two or more have Opels taken? Is it now possible to plant more trucks in a single sector or does only one player get the extra? |
This seems to largely be a matter of taste. I, for one, dislike having to grind for commanders.
It's more like a disincentive to play for me, since I'm not interested in grinding hours upon hours (which I don't have many to spare per week) for more content in an RTS. I'll switch to playing MMORPGs if I feel that way inclined.
The extra content would be an incentive if it was also made available through coughing up the dough. Then all those sweet special shiny new items in my inventory would invoke the need to try them out in new ways. Now I simply think I'll never see them in any case and ignore them completely when considering whether to play or not.
Seeing someone else with them only invokes frustration, not the envious need to play more. At least not for me. |
So it roughly translates to First Class Privates? |
It could also be almost instant, it's hardly overpowered that way. |
AFAIK, "Obersoldat" is a German rank roughly akin to Lance Corporal given to experienced soldiers that had no leadership potential and thus were not eligible to be promoted to the Gefreiter ranks.
Which doesn't really explain why they named these veterans such, but at least the name itself is not complete fantasy. |
I'm not sure if you're trolling or just have no idea who I am, but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.
In addition to almost 7 years as a confessed meme addict, I have moderated the largest meme forum on the Internet (at over 2 million subscribers) for over a year. You think I don't know memes? In that time I have removed over 400posts for not following subreddit guidelines. In addition to my moderation responsibilities I am one of the most active writers on knowyourmeme.com. You think I don't know memes? Then how do I write articles about them on a site called knowyourmeme? Several mainstream blogs have contacted me to ask about the recent meme phenomenon and each has been thankful and enlightened with what I had to tell them. It's not just limited to blogs though. Several companies have asked me to review their meme ads to avoid a failure like Toyota's meme commercial. Just last week a major food company contacted me with a paid offer to help them on a new ad campaign. I declined when I researched the company and saw that they had contributed money to socially conservative groups.
It's safe to say that I am one of the world's foremost experts on memes and in fact there is no one I can think of that has a meme resume as impressive as mine. So please tell me, what are your qualifications to say that I don't know what a meme is?
...nnaaah. I'm sorry, I'm still not convinced. |
+1 for the aforementioned positive feels for this patch. I've played around 20 2v2 matches this weekend, losing around 50% of them and having had fun regardless of the outcome. Last patch and the patch before that I just felt butthurt most of the time when having lost. My regular ally says the same. |
How about making them cheaper and dish out less pen/dmg, but giving them the weakspotting ability right away? They could be more of a support/harrass/finisher unit. |
