I actually like the way this doc functions. I agree that the delay is long, but the strength of the plane lies in the user not in the game. The AT strafe is still useful against buildings and arty. Use it on crippled tanks to quickly finish them off. Just don't use it on tanks without engine damage. 160 munitions (strafe + mine) to kill an enemy tank is definitely cost effective.
The regular strafe is still effective at pinning inf even if they move out of the way, as long as they are not too far away.
Use the recon to fly parallel to your enemies lines, that way if he shoots it down it crashes on his units.
Unlimited stuka dive bomb, need I say more?
If you are going up against heavy arty this is an exceptionally powerful doc.

The problem with the fields was that it prevented retreat. If you were crawling through the field and you wanted to retreat the infantry had to crawl back out. Also incomplete fields functioned well so they could be spammed at roads. Made inf play boring since it was a wall. Also vehicles often bugged out in wire fields and failed to crush it. 82mm and 120mm precision strike was OP when damage got doubled, cause balance. Also always decrew of weapon before Ost buffed to 4 man squads. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Tiger Ace is fine, sorry. I really don't think so. The TA has a range basically equivalent to American TD's which means you have to put them at risk to even hit it. And with the stun shot it can kill the Jackson every time if the second shot is the stun shot since the Jackson cannot retreat before the 3rd. All other American AT is too weak to scare it. Also don't forget the instant reload glitch that makes it fire 2 shots extremely quickly. Against Soviets it does what has already been said many times, it allows heavy tank pressure all game and a late game tiger to guarantee the win for 0 fuel! In: COH2 Balance |

So the OPs main concern is he can't play deny decap game with cheap cons or REchs after flak HQ is set up to defend fuel .... Well that's the faction design adapt and play .. Don't waste time and mp trying to kill it instead focus your battle on your side and win it and when he retreats attack his flak HQ.. I disagree with this. One critical component of COH is the decap/flanking. If an opponent is blobbing I can just simply move off and decap the map, but with the Panzer HQ he can lock me out of territory forcing me to group my forces to take it on. Guess which faction that plays to the strength of? The unit is too mindless it allows complete control of large sections of the map and requires > 1 minute of dedicated fire from units that it comes out against to damage. It is literally a no risk high reward unit. And to cap it all its just a tier unlock that can do it for 0 pop! In: COH2 Balance |

I agree with you the Coh1 mines were better because they were more consistent and tactically interesting. In addition, I think it is worth noting that in all of the asymmetrical balance mines were identical in vCOH. Pretty sure we asked for this before and nothing happened. Maybe this time? 1 Shock Troop unit can kill it while it's setting up, and an SU-85 can use focus sight to DPS it down pretty easily. Good Schwer placement can be a huge advantage for an OKW player, but remember your biggest advantage over OKW is that you have indirect fire and he doesn't This means I have to dedicate a single unit to the task of destroying this building. He need only bring up some light AT and suddenly I am stuck. If I attack into it I got pinned with infantry. If I leave he still controls the area. SU-85's are not great at this task, and it leaves them very vulnerable to flanking. Mortars take literally ages to destroy this and cannot be used against anything else while shooting. Scotts, already addressed. What happens if I go T1 and T3? What happens if I get pushed off a large map, by the time I return this can be set up and effectively end the game by locking me out. In 2v2+ a stuka from the other player can easily destroy team weapons brought to destroy it. There is minimal risk with this unit and a huge reward. It frees up infantry and tanks to other parts of the map because it requires large amounts of forces to deal with before it can be destroyed. In: COH2 Balance |

This unit (actually building) seems to be over performing. It can lock out infantry from whole sections of the map, is extremely effective at all ranges against all but heavy targets, and requires dedicated AT and fair amounts of time to destroy. To add insult to injury it can shoot at aircraft. Annoyingly, it is given as a gift for unlocking a tier. Meanwhile as Soviet I have to pick T3 or T4 and receive nothing in return. Wehr is no better off having to pay for unlocking a building but getting nothing in return. I would like to seriously discuss how this unit functions and if it should be changed. In: COH2 Balance |
