You have said "Four T34s supported by guards/ZiS".
That is (310MP + 100FU) * 4 + 320MP (ZIS) worth of 1560 MP and 400 FU.
"enough to take out a King Tiger" which is 720MP and 260FU.
Now imagine situation where OKW player have units of same total cost.
Say KT + 2 Volks with schreks + Raketen.
Who you think will be victorious?
Hard to say. I honestly think that would come down to how they plan the attack, who plays better. Guards can button the KT, then use your ZiS to fire it or bombard the volks while you flank and kill the Racketen?
I haven't played for a while, but 4 T34s should be able to take out a Racketen and two Shrecks pretty handily right? Even if they lose one, you can use the remaining three + ZiS to run circles around the KT with it's super slow RoF and Turret. |
Allrigh, now count soviet MP/MU/Fuel investement and suggest situation, where OKW have units for same total price.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking. |
I seldom see more than 1-2 KTs in a 3v3. But what's happening is, unless I am missing something else, the Soviet players are building more than 5 t-34s, but by the time the KTs come out, they've already lost a couple. If there are 4 KTs in a 4v4, that means that likely each OKW player was saving for it. So why are there only 5 t-34s? Because some of them were lost, I'd assume. Losing vehicles is punished MORE in a situation where fuel is diminished. It's spent fuel that you aren't getting back. The players who saved their fuel for the KTs are still getting those KTs out, but there will be even fewer tanks opposing them in a low-fuel situation.
At the same time though, the King Tiger might not come out at all or they'll only get one of them instead of two. Four T34s supported by guards/ZiS etc should be enough to take out a King Tiger and then the OKW player is boned since he lost his fuel sink.

Wouldn't reduced fuel income just hurt Allies, whose tanks are more fragile and have to be re-purchased more often, more? You're losing tanks already, but now it's harder and harder to replace each lost vehicle. Axis are still able to save up fuel for super heavies, but now it's harder to counter because you don't have the income to support proper numbers of your own tanks to counter them.
Because from what I understand, the idea should be something like five or six T34s vs a single King Tiger. But in Team games it seems that the game just ends up being five T34s vs four King Tigers. The fuel should only allow one super heavy, so the US/Sov side can actually counter with strength in numbers |
It sounds to me more like it's time to fix 3v3 and 4v4 games.
I feel the problem is inherent with the game mode more than the faction itself. Throttle the fuel, limit the popcaps or something rather than re-working factions.
I keep seeing complaints all the time about how Allies can't win and how certain units are breaking the game, it's almost always from big team game players and almost always a case of the game just devolving into spamming super heavy vehicles, which is always going to be a problem in any game.
It was the same in Age of Empires III. People would enforce stupid 'No Rush 40 minutes' rules and certain factions were utterly broken. It wasn't the faction that needed re-design it was the game mode that made them broken.

I don't get the hate for Trip Flares, they aren't that bad surely? 10 Munitions to kill 25% of a german infantry unit and provide LOS for the whole area? I usually just lay them down while I'm capturing a point.
As for Secure Mode, I use it a lot with T70 and T34, usually after I run off the enemy infantry and start securing while my own infantry catches up. Other times I'll send it to a far away point or one that is protected with MGs or something, decap, then run before they can get AT to it. This is good on maps like Semoisky Winter and Minsk Pocket for fuel and VPs that are close enough to be forgotten about sometimes. |
Any option to buy just one of the armies? I already have OKW but wouldn't mind USF if it's heavily discounted. |
So the German uniforms is the cause of searching disparity? Sounds like NAZI friendship with Jewish people-AKA complete Joke.
The more people searching Aixs is because Aixs got more toys to play with, I don't remember the COH2 aixs uniform is cooler than the COH1, the searching disparity at that time were almost even.
It was a joke mate. |
I don't know, one faction can have panther, sturm tiger, kingtiger, Jadgtiger, perhaps even more boring? And why the hell 95% axis vs. 5% allied?
That same faction has a severe lack of medium tanks. This is why Relic needs to fix 4v4, I've never even seen a single Jagdtiger in 1v1 (ever!), but it seems like 4v4 is all about Wunderwaffen vs Armageddon Tanks.
As for the searching disparity, it's because of the Uniforms. Germans just look spiffier. |
ok, I see u axis fanbois love ur wait times.
I imagine this is aimed at everyone in the thread, including me so I'll point out that I mostly play Soviet now due to the wait times for Axis.
Also I don't use the Super-heavies usually, I use T34s more than any other tank/vehicle.
Don't think that people don't want a Pershing to "keep the German's strong", rather I'd like to see the factions keep their unique nature.
I'm happy to see Soviet keep their strict/inflexible tiering system as well for example. |
