Just watched. M36 deflected off the rear of a KT WHILE USING AT ROUNDS. That's not right, not right at all.
Why is King tiger spam a thing? It shouldn't be a thing. This is why we need fuel upkeep. Every time one died he just replaced it.
I think it's a 3v3, 4v4 issue more than anything. Team games seem utterly broken and have been for a while, I don't know why Relic hasn't addressed it. |
Didn't this happen a lot way, way back when this game was relatively new? I remember that you could aim a Rifle Grenade at the corner of a house and it had a chance of collapsing instantly. It was patched out literally over a year ago I thought. |
^That's what I was thinking. I would have the factions and commanders on 'Rotation' on a weekly or monthly basis. They already did this not so long ago with the premium commanders, don't see why they couldn't do similar with F2P model.
As for what to monetise, I would think they can stick to what they currently have, commanders and factions need to be paid for to unlock to use at will rather than on rotation.
I feel like they could monetise bulletins, faceplates and skins more than currently as well, so you can 'win the lotto' by getting them in war spoils or just choose the ones you want and pay for them. |
It wouldn't surprise me, with the things they've put into CoH2, like War Spoils and DLC Commanders it seems like it's a viable option down the line.
I get the feeling that War Spoils will become purchasable or trade-able and they could even make the F2P version only allow you to play 2 of the four factions each week/month or something on a cycle. If you paid for the original or WFA you can play with whatever you already own and with whatever commanders you have at any time. Everyone else gets a cycle like they did with the commanders per week.
I could see it working, and I wouldn't mind it even though I bought the game and OKW faction. It would increase the playerbase and I got a long run of gaming out of it before going F2P. It wouldn't be the first game to go F2P after being retail either. |
Snip
That looks brilliant!
Needs the 'Ratte Landkruiser' though. |
I was using this yesterday to scout ahead for my Howitzer strikes and to avoid P4s with my T34s. It's such a huge sight distance it really comes in handy.
It's a shame it's not viable to use with T4, since it would work a wonder with SU-85s. |
I think rather than nerfing the Pak-40 they should buff the other guns.
Or in the ZiS case, fucking fix it already!
ZiS - remove the 25% damage penalty whoopsie & give it back the old Tracking Ability
Raketenwerfer - remove the 'cancel retreat' whoopsie & give it back it's old veterancy rate. Nerf Vet 5 if you have to, but give it a chance to get vet before being BTFO.
US AT Gun - I don't have USF so I can't comment. it seems okay at the moment thanks to Take Aim and it's enormous range. |
Soviet Utility Tactics:
0CP - Not a Banana Peel -Infantry can lay trip-wire flares at Veterancy 0
2CP - Soviet Unity - All infantry now has the ability to merge
6CP - Mechanized Trips - Vehicles can now lay trip-wire flares, but cannot move or fire while doing so.
4CP - Valiant Capture - Vehicles can capture points twice as fast when in capture mode
10CP - Russian Needs Petrol! - Convert Munitions to Fuel |
Soviet Support Tactics
0CP - Elite Combat Engineers - Combat Engineers take longer to train, but deploy with random amount of veterancy.
2CP - PTRS Prisoners! - Penals can be upgraded with PTRS rifles
4CP - Armored Detection
4CP - Camouflaged AT Guns
10CP - SU-76 Ace - Deploy an SU-76 Ace, a vet 3 SU-76 that can self repair for 60 Munitions.

I would say Soviet, since they seem to have the most amount of units that are seen as 'Useless' with their entire T4 seen as pretty much being pointless.
I guess the same could be said for Ostheer, but I've seen at least a few players saving up for T4.
