That is the problem though, the firing arc sucks considering it is doctrinal and more expensive than the maxim it should be better but it is equal if not worse to the maxim. It is not terrible but Imagine if the Command Panther from OKW didnt have the command aura and was just a regular panther with a call in that wasn't any better than the stock variant that is what the DHSK is. The marginal improve in stats that it gets is off set by the higher reinforcement cost, higher upfront cost, significantly worse ability and Vet 1 compared to Maxim.

Now that is not to say it is bad, it is decent but considering the Doctrinal/Cost should at least be close to MG-34 or even Mg-42 in terms of performance. At the moment its just Maxim for people who can't be bothered to use Suppressing Fire which is not good enough.

Even if Maxim was the worst MG in the game (its not) but lets just say that it was, it would make sense considering Soviets are the only faction with two different HMGs with the DHSK being a clear upgrade path which at the moment it isn't.

Also speaking of Upgrades the best way to make Maxim and DSHK "better" is to allow it to be upgraded to DSHK for say 60 Ammo or so and balance it around that.

Flame Hetzer is rather useless in my opinion. It is not a bad unit and performs well the issue is that it is not something that you really need with OKW.

Take Soviets for example, if you go for T2 opening or Conscript opening the T-70 fills a nice gap in the anti-infantry department. OKW already does very well with anti-infantry so getting even more anti-infantry through the Hetzer is pointless as it has no utility.

If it had an upgrade to convert it into an anti-tank vehicle or had some form of command aura with it then it would be worthwhile but at the moment the fuel is better spent on other things.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that it's a pre-alpha and that the UI is still a massive WIP??

COH 2 has the same UI on live as it did during its Pre-Alpha period. That is not an excuse.

The Tooltips in COH2 are a lie. Never believe them.

This games' intrigue and fun factor has been been nerfed alongside most of the unit potency.

Balance Team more or less ruined COH 2 and consistently makes the game worse with each patch release with the exception of some much needed bug fixes which I will give them credit for. 1 Step Forward 2 Steps Backwards is basically the current Balance Team.

Would be nice if relic's commander design didn't leave gaping holes in the matchup that can only be covered by other commanders.

This is more of an Allied issue than an Axis issue since Axis come with all the basic tools built in already.
