The panther cost has done nothing to deter spam (defined as: greater than 5 units) in 3v3 or 4v4 game play. I'm finding the new build of the month is panthers combined with multiple tigers. Annoying.
Is anybody else finding that the SU85's enjoy spinning in circles?
So 5 panthers in a 3v3+ is considered spam? That's not even 2 Panthers on average per german player.
It's because the animation of packing up the weapon needs to be completed before it retreats.
I think it would be better if the other guys in the squad died first , and the gunner as last. In that way, the squad still die, but the animation can still be completed.
I agree. It makes anticipating hard, when a random crit can actually double the packup-time.
i was playing with t34/76's. my opponent waited for tigers, and sent his first one out. i rammed it three times in the direct back of the tank with three seperate t34's and it never got
'main gun destroyed' crit, it was only ever stunned.
i personally believe it was overnerfed because now T1-T3 builds are completely impossible to use if the opponent goes for tigers. you are forced to backtech to t2 or go to t4 which is incredibly expensive.
did they remove the crit?
is it not calculated by ram direction anymore?
feel free to give your opinions, i want to know if i'm becoming a soviet fanboy or not
To be honest, in my books going solely t1 and t3 has never really been a very rewarding strat unless you went soviet industry or some heavy call-in doc.
Ram feels good the way it is now, especially now that the t-34's been buffed.
The ISU-152 was already extremely potent before the patch. I guess it was just that it took quite long to field it, that people didn't use it more often and rather went for t-34/85s or an IS-2 instead.
The fact that it has such great range, combined with it's strong AT- and AI-Potential make it overperform imo.
Talking for 2v2+ it's extremely hard to take it out especially on smaller and/or narrow maps like semoski, minsk, charkov etc.
Very interesting changes! I was very unhappy with the latest patch because it felt "incomplete". Now that they have adjusted vehicle balance and made some alterations to the Infantry gameplay, I'm definitely looking forward to try this out.
I just hope that the buffs to the ISU-152/IS-2 combined with the nerfs to the Tiger/Panther won't make the former overpowered. I'm also a little sceptical about the changes to the Su-76 /Stug, they seem to be very "glassy" now. Infantrywise I'm glad to see that they buffed cons but I don't understand the PG nerf.
All in all the patchnotes leave a solid impression on me
