ill look into it later to try to find out why we differ. we do use different formulas to caculate our dps though. youll notice his graphs are curved. i use a linear function. the reasoning is kind of confusing. relic claims they use a linear function, yet theyve supplied some numbers which were not linear. were not sure yet which is correct, but i chose to follow relics word and use linear, tensai chose to follow their numbers.
just finally updated this for the latest patch. added the changes to existed units. added dps numbers for partisans and dshk. kv2 is now on the vehicle tab. updated the chance for flamethrowers to explode on the crit tables.
the opel seems to have the old vet bonuses. it takes .45x recieved damage at vet 2 and deals 1.78x more damge at vet3. this seems to just be an oversight by relic though. youd have to be crazy to vet an opel haha

I have one more question though.
How does suppression and eventual pinning actually affect the DPS done to the unit that is suppressed or pinned?
The tooltips are quite confusing on this point and there are many mixed reports on it.
suppression gives -2 speed (i believe infantry have a speed of 3), cooldown x4, reload x4, and accuracy x.25. all of this makes dps drop to something like 5-10% in theory. however, they typically crawl around and dont follow orders, so in game its really much less.
pinned makes them unable to move, shoot, use abilities, or cap.
there are very few times when being able to crawl makes any difference. occasionally, you can crawl out of an mgs arc if you were very close to the edge. i think the damage difference is negligible. the biggest difference in my opinion is being able to use abilities.
pinning does have one more advantage though. while pinned, units wont move out of the way of moving vehicles, making them much easier to crush. suppressed units will actually stand up and move at full speed to get out of the way.
something came up and i cant get the dshk numbers yet. ill do it later.
ive been too lazy to update the spreadsheet for this patch, but i can figure out the dshk numbers tomorrow. i do know the dshk sets up in 2 seconds though. maxim takes 1.5125 seconds and mg42 takes 3.
maxim suppresses faster than an mg42. mg42 pins faster than maxim. generally, suppressing faster gives the maxim the advantage here.
mg42 dps is variable. it has incremental accuracy based on the number of targets in its search area. maxim accuracy only varies with range. in most cases, this will give the mg42 a higher dps than a maxim. mg42 would have to have 8 entities in its search radius to do more dps at all ranges.
Lot less enthusiasm because the game is dead, there are barely any people left to be enthusiastic.
I think its really ridiculous that almost none of the top CoH1 players play this game, not even SNF with such prizes. It really shows how bad the game is.
In my opinion the game has no future and will only get worse. The playerbase is very small and it is decreasing each day, it reminds me of DoW2 after like 2 years of its release.
DoW2 was never a popular game but it was more popular in its first 1-2 years.
CoH2 is only 5 months old and is already dead, what a great career.

very funny and creative post. unfortunately, everything you need to beat the tiger ace is non doctrinal. just watch prudents replay. he beats it despite his horrible strategy.
the tiger ace was called in about half way through the game while the german was broke. the german never had more than 6 units after that point, 2 of which were pios. prudent had 20 minutes of income that the german never got. even so, he never rammed the tiger ace. he never supported his tanks with infantry, just attacked the tiger head on. he barely even used his tanks together. he didnt use anything that could outrange the tiger.
the strange thing is, i have friends that are also in beta who can still use the wb without any problems. onkelsam is now having the same problem as me though. so it seems to only affect some of us. ive mentioned this problem to eagleheart though. he said hes talked with he programmers an he wouldd get back to me. hopefully they find some fix we can do, or maybe just fix it next patch. ill post anything i hear in this thread.
